OT- UW vs Wofford

Post#1 » by Ill-yasova » Sat Sep 19, 2009 3:59 pm

Should be interesting to watch because Wofford runs an odd offense called the Wingbone. Time for wingbone 101.

The Wing Bone offense offers a unique combination of wishbone and Wing-T philosophy, with an unbalanced line that strengthens the offense and provides the deception and counterattack effect needed to balance out an option-type attack.

Over the years, we have been able to stretch the defense both horizontally and vertically with our three basic series: option, counter (or misdirection), and power (goal line).

The option and power series helps set up the counter series, which is designed to slow down the fast-flowing LBs and blunt the effectiveness of the defensive line.

UW historically has not done well against weird offenses (Cal Poly, Citadel).

Why am I getting the Michigan/Eastern Michigan game on BTN?

Two fumbles in under two minutes? Interesting.

John Clay seems like a big waste of talent to me... That guy needs to get his **** straight, he has a ridiculous amount of potential.

I've got the Badgers here in Madison. Clay fumbled then the Badgers got it back on a fumble on Wofford's first carry. Brown promptly fumbles on his second carry since Clay wasn't playing due to the fumble.

Found it. Instead of being on 650 it's on 1693.

He had 140 yards last game. I'll reserve judgment til a little later in the season.

I'm not saying he isn't "good", but he has the talent to be great. From what I have heard thus far he is overweight and doesn't know the plays.

I think he has the ability to be a dominating college back and a really good NFL back if he figures it out.

Zach Brown rocks.

Holding? How dare you. Zach Brown does not need holding to score.

I know the competition hasn't been great, but Tolzien has looked a lot better than I expected.

You messed up Tolzien concentration, he threw a bad pass. :(

But if Brent were in for that play, it would've been an INT.
