Mike Taylor is out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL. He was the team's leading tackler as a RS Freshman, and was showing up on mid-season Freshman All-American and All-Big Ten lists. Tough loss for the team, and too bad for the guy.

Borland will fill in. Borland is a better pass rusher and I think he has a bright future with the program, but I think it was apparent on Saturday when he entered the game for Taylor that he's not as complete of a linebacker yet. Did not look good in coverage. He'll certainly have plenty of time now to get experience, though. It'll be interesting to see how he develops. Just wish it wasn't at the expense of one of the team's best young players.

Taylor surprised the heck out of me as a player. Rock solid.

This really hurts us. It was nice to be able to bring Borland in for obvious pass rush situations.

I just mainly hope that Taylor comes back next year without losing any of his abilities
