Erick Rolfson and his brother Adam, devout Favre fans, started firetednow.com and bringbackbrettfavre.com. They eventually removed a venomous message board from the Favre site because, Erick says, Brett wrote them a letter asking them to do so.

The brothers have received more than 1,000 letters from Favre supporters, and are releasing a book called "Letters to Brett Favre, A Fan Tribute." The loyalty to No. 4 is everywhere, Rolfson says. There's an elderly woman from Elroy, Wis., with Favre's number shaved into the left side of her scalp, and the fans who still want Thompson's head.

It brings Rolfson to tears when he reads some of the letters, he says, but then he becomes stern when talking about Thompson.

What a bunch of little bitches. There's no possible way that you can make the argument that Thompson made the wrong move. Rodgers has killed it. So it comes down to this: are you a Favre fan? Or a Packers fan.

These people love a player, I love a team.

Obviously Ted made the right move with Favre/Rodgers. The jury is still out on him overall. This year we've beaten a horrible Lions team, a horrible Rams team, a horrible Browns team and a 3-3 Bears team.

That's the thing that pisses me off most about all these "Favre lovers" out there. How many of them would have been Favre fans if he never played in GB? And, there's obviously no way to ever know this, but I wonder how many of the people who are pissed at TT for Favre being gone would have been calling for his head if once Favre was done we had nobody in line to take over. I bet quite a few of them would have been. So, basically it's a catch 22, a lot of these people were going to be pissed no matter what, it was just a matter of when. Seriously, this is why I love the Packers, but honestly hate a lot of their fans.

Man i am sick of hearing about the whole pro/anti Favre angle among many fans

I'm probably alone in this, but i don't even care much that Brett will be playing against us in Lambeau, i just want a win against the Vikings because a loss pretty much ends our division chances. Yea Brett adds something extra to the game for me, but not to the degree that the media is hyping things. When we played the Queens in Minnesota, after about the first quarter, i almost completely stopped caring that Brett was their QB, i just then wanted to win the game like in any previous Vikes/Packer game.

As for the Favre lovers I think most of them are bandwagon fans that jumped on after the Packers began to make their climb to the top of the NFL in the early & mid 90's.

The Packers always had a lot of loyal fan support but if some of you remember there was a lot of people jumping on the bandwagon around '93 & '94 when the Packers started to establish themselves as a winning team that was on the rise.Those are probably a majority of the Favre lovers.


When Favre was a Packer I was one of his biggest fans but to me it's pretty simple as some of you have mentioned,Favre is now a Viking,the Vikings are a rival of the Packers and I am a Packer fan and have been a Packer fan before Brett Favre ever showed up.

That reminds me of a funny story,

The day I became a Packer fan was at some point in 1985 season,I was 7 years old and I asked my mom to buy me a William ''Refrigerator'' Perry shirt.She pretty much snapped on me and told me to always support my home team and from that day on I have considered myself a loyal die hard Packer fan,and that will never change.

Make that 3 of us. I want GB to win big! I'd enjoy Brett getting clobbered and knocked out of the game - or it might better he throws a last minute interception and costs them the game. I am a Packer fan and all opponents are the enemy. But to hate Brett is stupid and immature. But no surprise there. We are talking about sports fans!

I don’t mind Brett chose to play for the Vikes. GB dumped him and he has right to play anywhere he dam well pleases for whatever reason. Besides its obvious that the Vikes were the right team – talent/potential/scheme wise.

I still love what Brett did as a Packer. There are few players as exciting as he has been - both good and bad plays. He thrilled me often. But that sentiment is for after he retires.

The main problem I have with Brett was how he became such an old woman over retirement for too many years (my apologies to old women). It was sickening, then even embarrassing!

I even understand the alleged difference with TT over player acquisitions. Brett might even been right on a couple of them. Just different approaches. But TT is the GM and that’s that. I just wish if it pissed Brett off so bad he would have been honest and just asked to be traded.

As for the split - both TT and Brett could have done things better. I hold them both responsible for the mess.

But faced with the choice of QBs – TT made the right one! I love Aaron!

TT seems like a good, decent guy. But as a GM, he has only done OK and has 1 more year to deliver to keep his job.

I used to get so pissed, thinking the press was just trying to find ways to make people from Wisconsin look like complete idiots, but the sad realization is that there are sooooooo many toothless hicks in this state, the press could be so much meaner than what they are.........I hate those people with every ounce of my being.

Brett is like a ex girlfriend getting with a rebound guy. I hate him right now, but it's because I love him. As soon as he dumps the douchebag he's with right now everything will be all right.

And Minny has also beaten a horrible Lions team, a horrible Browns team, a horrible Rams team, and a miracle pass to beat the mediocre at best Niners, Also, a win over Baltimore due to their kicker choking in a freakin' dome. That's what the bad teams are there for, to beat up on.

I think the Lions and Browns games will give us some confidence when we actually play a good team like Minny. I like our chances.

I also was laughing at 540am doing a comparison between this years Minnesota defense to the 96' Packers defense. They came to the conclusion after the individual break down that the defenses are extremely comparable. Last time I checked, I don't think Minnesota is top 10 in any defensive statistic right now. Sure, they have some play makers. But to compare them to a #1 defense that won a super bowl is absurd at this point.

I was appalled watching the last Packers/Queens game at my favorite bar. There was actually a complete **** idiot there rooting for the Vikings because he claimed to be a diehard Brett favre fan. This guy is from Wisconsin, said he was previously a Packer fan but now cares more about the Vikings since Favre is on the team. He was cheering when Favre completed a pass and cheering when Rodgers was sacked or made any sort of mistake. He was even jeering when the Pack scored.

I know it is just a game not to be taken too seriously but I nearly blew my top and was loudly yelling to all around me that the guy was a moron. I made a couple of friends nervous since this guy was huge and admittedly would have beaten me to a pulp. The whole situation was just so stupefying. To top it off, the guy was pretty much an ignaramus when it came to football - he was asking questions like "Hey, this Peterson guy is pretty good.. how long has he been in the league? Where did he go to college?"

He literally seemed to have no allegiance or knowledge of football unless it circled around the sun that is Brett Favre.
