OK, so it was only 5K. But how the hell do you fine Raji for a facemask?

I just have this feeling the NFL has some sort of underlying fix for Brent to go to the Super Bowl and the Packers have been unfairly penalized in some ways.

You might be on to something about the league trying to help the Vikes while trying to make the Packers look bad.

I remember about 4 or 5 games into last season I brought it up that it seemed kinda fishy that after the whole Favre thing the Packers where suddenly being called for excessive penalties.I think I also brought this issue up on this board last season.

I know most would probably shoot this theory down and I do agree the Packers do commit too many legit penalties.

The 2 things that make me think something strange might be going on are...

1.The Packers seem to be called for way too many ''touchy'' penalties, even the commentators have brought this up a lot. What I mean by ''touchy'' penalties are those penalties where yea, maybe technically it was a penalty but if the refs are going to call it that close they could throw a flag on every play in every NFL game.Packers have been called for a ton of those this season and last season.

2.The Packers seem to be called for a lot of penalties that wipe out big plays.Agian many of these are ''touchy'',how many times this season and last season have the Packers made a big momentum changing type play only for it to be called back on a penalty. Then on the replay you have been like ''WTF,where was the penatly??''

One particular play that stands out to me as an example was the Woodson INT on Favre in Minnesota, when the Vikes where on the Packers 2 yard line. The strange thing about that play and I re-watched it about 5 times, was that the official in the end zone who was right in front of the play signaled an INT & touchback. The official who was farther away was the one who threw the flag but what got me was the fact he didn't throw his flag until after it was apparent Woodson picked the ball off.

If you time the play and the when the flag was thrown,it was almost like the ref though ''oh no,Woodson picked off Favre I better throw the flag.'' It was obvious the ref didn't throw the flag until after he thought about it.

Even if that call was ''touchy'' I wouldn't have had as much of a problem with it if the ref threw the flag when the contact had occurred, not 4 or 5 seconds after the contact and after it was apparent Favre got picked off.

Oh,and they also called the Packers for being off sides on that play if you remember and like I said I re-watched it a few times and nobody was off sides either.

Cornerback Harris was fined for unnecessary roughness for grabbing a helmet to make a tackle.

Didn't one of the Vikings put their arm around Jennings throat area to bring him down to the ground? Yet no fine for that.

Lmao. Raji gets a small fine for a personal foul and it turns into a Brett Favre conspiracy theory. You guys are a trip. I love reading the Favre obsession here.

Once again a touchy penalty kills us on a game-ending INT.

I know I was somewhat kidding about the conspiracy but I'm waiting for the Packers to catch a break on a call.

Does Brent's junk taste that good? I don't get the obsession with constantly defending the guy like he's a saint.

I don't need to defend Brett. His play on the field is doing all the work for me.

The same could be said about Rodgers.

don't blame the refs for the loss.

we all know this game should never have been close to begin with.

a rookie Qb starting his first game against supposedly the third best defense in the league, and he puts up 31 points of offense? That's more points than tampa bay would normally score in three games. A rookie Qb on a very bad tampa team leads his team to a win and scores as many points as teh Vikings did against us? green bay's defense should have been all over tampa's qb. but it wasn't. What happened to green bay's defense?

I could understand and accept giving up 31 points of offense to indy, new england or new orleans. but allowing a rookie Qb in his first game to do that?

Unfortunately for the packers, they don't have a bye week to fix the defense's problems. and unfortunately there are some huge problems that have surfaced.

Rogers puts up some great stats every game. however those stats don't usually include a victory. I noticed roger's 4th quarter stats in the past few games seem to be pretty bad. it's like he can't close out a game and finish it, and his come back skills in the 4th quarter are lacking. if rogers has an incompleted pass, you can put money down that the incompleted pass(s) wil occur in the 4th quarter.

heard a staggering stat. In 24 games a starter, in drives to open the second half, Rodgers is 0-24 in touchdown drives.

In 18 years of his NFL career, Brett Favre has won 1 Super Bowl.

Trent Dilfer has won one Super Bowl.
