Bear week pregame discussion

Not real encouraging with our D-Line:
NIck Barnett (knee) and Ryan Pickett (hamstring) did not participate. Jeremy Thompson (neck) is out for the game.
Chad Clifton (hamstring), Jeremichael Finley (knee), Cullen Jenkins (hamstring), Johnny Jolly (knee), B.J. Raji (ankle) and Charles Woodson (shoulder) were all limited.
Packers will not practice outside this week because of the wind. But with the 65-yard heated field, they can get that plowed and practice when needed.
Barnett has a strain in his knee. "I think he'll be OK by later in the week," McCarthy said.
Pickett will be a game-time decision. As will Jenkins, Raji and Jolly.
"I'm concerned about all four of those guys missing practice," McCarthy said of Pickett, Jenkins, Raji and Jolly.

I am worried about this game. It seems like a trap game to me and this will be the Bears Super Bowl. That said, as long as most of these guys play, I think we should be able to beat the Bears. Just very worried, moving forward, by how beat up our team is...

To say I'm supremely confident we'll win this game is an overstatement, but I am very confident. The Bears are just too bad. Their offensive line is a lot worse than ours right now, their defense has regressed quite a bit since week 1, and Cutler still sucks. The only way we lose this game is if our special teams gets blown away, which has happened against the Bears in the past, but I'm supremely confident that we'll move the ball against them and our defense shouldn't have any problem shutting down the run and getting after Cutler.

I've been worrying about a lot of these guys but I doubt any of them actually miss the game.
Count me as well for being nervous about this game.
NFL injury reports are crazy sometimes. When I see a fantasy guy listed as questionable, and I know him to be a certain way, I laugh my ass off:
For instance, Steve Breaston has been questionable every week for the last 2 years yet he almost always plays. Plaxico in his super bowl year didn't practice at all the majority of the year. I'm not accusing these types of guys of not wanting to practice at all, but I think that has to do with half the reason and the other half is the coach being overly cautious to make sure these guys are able to play.
Other times you'll see a guy ding up his ankle at the end of the game but come back for a few series at the end. Yet he is listed as "questionable" the whole following week. You know damn well he's going to play, they just want to throw doubt into the opponents' mind. That is the other thing of the 2, there are a lot of times a coach is cryptic to make the other team prepare for the backup and the starter.
Is this completely related to the Packer situation? Maybe, maybe not. But seeing as these guys all played the majority of last game and weren't down on the field at any point, I have a hard time believing most, if not all of them are out on the field on Sunday. Probably just being cautious with their injuries as they are all 300+ lbs. They might just need a little rest too. They've been great most of this year and deserve it.

This team always seems to have trouble playing at Chicago. That is what makes me nervous for this game. I hope we continue to play the way we been playing and get Cutler to throw int's.

I hear what you are saying, but I also try to remember that those were Farve-led teams and I like to fantasize that Rodgers is going to be impervious to playing bad games repeatedly against the Bears and Vikes when they aren't playing at Lambeau...

The Bears play on a different level when they play the Packers. I think we will win, but I don't think we ever have an easy win against the Bears in Chicago.

Two years ago we got blown out by the Bears in Chicago and we were a damn good team that year. We had old man Favre playing in blustery weather so if there are similar conditions Sunday, hopefully Rodgers will fair better. He did alright Monday night so I've got my fingers crossed.
They are saying 37 and a chance of snow showers on Sunday. Nothing compared to two years ago.

That's why i'm holding onto the shred of hope we have to win the division. I would love to see Favre come to Lambeau for a night game in the playoffs. Temperature at about 0 and with a few flurries. We would probably break the single game interception record.

I'm listening to Colin Cowherd right now and he predicting the Packers will win 30-17 and that the Bengals will beat the Vikes 24-20. Hopefully he is right!

This should matter to no one.
Clay Matthews awesomeness cannot be described by words... Only his actions.

Nice I'm a podcast member so I'll listen to it later. Last week Aaron got us some Jungle Karma, now this week Clay is. We should do alright Sunday.
