Around the League week 14

So um, the Browns are up 10 on the Steelers in the third quarter. If they lose tonight, any chance they just say screw it and rest their starters the rest of the year? Or at the least, hold out Polamalu for the rest of the year?
I realize the Steelers are without Polamalu and Ward but still, this is the 1-11 Browns. Pittsburgh just looks awful and/or completely done.
EDIT: Ward is playing, my bad. That just makes their performance tonight that much worse.

I would have never imagined the Steelers season to be over before we even play them. If they lose tonight I doubt Polomalu plays again this year. A week or two ago I saw a headline questioning if he'd come back this season, so if they lose this game I don't see them rushing him back. My old college roommate is a die hard Steelers fan so if they lose tonight i'm definitely going to have to give him **** tonight, haha.

Yeah it's shocking to see how far they have fallen. Not to get cocky or anything, but I am really really starting to like our chances that we could be on a seven game winning streak by the time week 17 rolls around. Depending on how Minny finishes and if Arizona will still have reason to give two **** about the final game, we have a rather realistic shot at finishing 12-4.
Of course, getting THAT confident is probably a tad risky still. Packers are playing so well and I can't really see this team laying a stinker ala Tampa but who knows what could still happen.

The Browns look like the Steelers. They are sacking Ben like crazy. I think it's about 5 or 6 sacks now.
Imagine what this D could do that offensive line with the way they've been playing. It's like playing the Packers offensive line from the first half of the season.

I'm glad I didn't start Big Ben this week in fantasy. I was actually considering him over Peyton just because of the easy match up. Damn, I'd be pissed right now if I did that.

The Browns are dead.last. in total defense this year, and they just made the Steelers look stupid.
Like PBGZ, I cannot imagine Polamalu playing now. There's no reason. There's a chance they could make it at 9-7, but they've lost 5 straight and just lost to the Raiders and Browns in back-to-back weeks. It ain't happening.

Well Steelers are officially out of the playoff hunt. Looks like we only have 1 playoff team left on our schedule.

Not sure if I want to laugh more at the Maxwell and Walter Camp awards going to McCoy, or the Steelers losing to the Raiders and Browns in back-to-back weeks.

As bad as the Steelers have been, I am utterly stun they lost to the Browns. The Browns are a XFL team.

Romo goes back to holding duties this weekend. Who could forget the last time he held (and in the playoffs no less).

Random, but didn't want to make a new thread...
They're talking to Erick Dickerson on Sportscenter about the possibility of Chris Johnson breaking his record (possible, especially with big games against St. Louis and/or San Diego, both of whom are in the bottom-third of the league in rushing defense). They showed a clip of Barry Sanders that I either hadn't seen in awhile, or had never seen. Moral of the story is I miss Barry Sanders.
But to make this a bit more relevant, it will be interesting to see how many yards Johnson can rake up this week against the Rams.
