I had previously heard some national pundit talking about this and talking about how the Packers would benefit right away from this, much like this article said. However he also speculated that in the long term(3-5) years down the road as a smaller market team we would start to suffer from a lack of a salary cap.

Will be interesting to say the least, I think a large part of the reason we embrace the Packers so much is that we always know we can be competitive on a yearly basis.

I know in the NBA I feel like every season/game we have the refs out against us from the start and in MLB I feel like we go into the season with a 75-100 million dollar disadvantage.

So yeah, will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

I'm pretty unfamiliar with how player salaries work in the NFL. Who do the Packers get their salary from? The city? Taxpayers? If those two answers are far from right, pardon me for being dumb.

We get our revenue the same as every other team. Ticket sales, merchandise, sponsors, local radio rights and especially the national TV deal
