Charles Woodson DPOY?

Post#1 » by Bucksfans1and2 » Mon Jan 4, 2010 12:24 am

Woodson has been dominant in every sense of the word this year.

74 tackles, giving up almost no catches means he's been playing the run better than most safeties. 9 interceptions as someone who guards recievers instead of playing centerfield like sharper is also incredibly impressive. (Evev if he played two games against Cutler) :D

I've never seen a defensive back have so much influence on a defense. Deion Sanders was great but never played the run and he was the best cornerback I've ever seen.

Everyone in Greenbay loves the guy. "3/4 of th eearth is covered in water the rest is covered by Charles Woodson" is awesome.

it's between him and Reevis.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I didn't watch the Jets for a snap this season but supposedly what Revis did is amazing. I could see either playing getting the award.

Peter King has been pimping Revis the past couple of weeks.

The opposing-receiver numbers for Revis are pretty damn amazing. I have not seen those numbers for Woodson.

That said, I think Woodson wins it.

Revis is a shut down corner in every sense of the word. With that said, Woodson has had a better overall year.

Revis getting national love tonight, and deserves it.

With that said, I agree Chuck OVERALL has done more...but I am bias.

Either guy deserves it, maybe have Co-DPOY

Yeah, but Revis hasn't done this transition into a different defense than he has played in. Woodson has been nothing short of amazing, even with the loss of Harris.

I'm looking at the stats and Woodson has more tackles, sacks, forced fumbles (4 to Revis' 0) and INTs (by 3). Now only is Woodson a lock down corner, but he is also a play maker who can force TOs and blitz.

Revis is great, but I think it would be robbery if Woodson didn't win it.

I don't think tackles are a relevant stat, just because they are based on so many factors that are different from team to team, but Woodson has definitely been more of a positive playmaker than Revis. I will say Revis has been the best cover corner for sure though in the league. What he's done to some very good WR's this year is staggering.

I'd put them on pretty even odds to win it.

Nice info Luke, you make a great case for Woodson, hopefully whoever votes sees it that way...

Woody in a landslide, IMO. He's just made way too many big plays. Woody has taken 3 to the house to Revis' 1, and Woody also has 9 TFL to Revis' 0, just to add to the stats LukePliska posted.

Plus I'm still pissed Revis went 14th when I wanted him at 16 when we took Harrell.

Ohh, that was painful. I kept hoping he would fall, I really do think TT would have been happy to snap him up. I wanted him or Olson. Bad, bad memories... Then again... maybe Harrell will be back next year...

My mom just got to talk to Woodson for a second, he called the Governor's office to speak to Doyle. She said she was pretty excited and he asked how she was doing.

It was a prank phone call. Later someone is going to tell her it wasn't Woodson... she'll cry, as would I...

Until she finds out it was actually Nick Toon, in which case she faints, and I get to miss work to go visit her in the hospital.

It is part of a new show called "In Toon." Someone famous calls... then they are told it wasn't actually that person. Then, their expectations are wildly exceeded when they are told that they actually spoke with THE Nick Toon. It is gonna do big numbers...

Your mother's head would explode.

Nick Toon's voice has never been and never will be heard. When he interviews, he just moves his lips and they put a fake voice over it, like in old Japanese movies and stuff.

He actually doesn't speak. He communicates via telepathy. He also uses the same power to crush metal objects, catch TD's, and be awesome.
