I love Collins and there's no reason to think he won't be back, but Pickett, even at age 30, is the guy I'd put make the top priority. I just think he's far and away the best NT option for this team, and Raji is at his best playing end. I LOVE the rotation we have now. If Harrell is ever able to give us something it's just gravy.

Pickett is a beast and this is definitely great to hear.

If we sign Pickett then we can save our franchise tag for Collins if need be but I can't see any reason we won't work out a contract for Collins too.

We need to keep as many of our young guys as possible, well other than some of these young corners that I'm not too fond of, we need to draft a stud at that position

Great news, hopefully Jolly will be back too because he's been great this whole season. I don't think he's a FA though if an agreement on a new CBA isn't reached.

I think the Jolly thing will have a lot to do with how his legal issues pan out. I would love to have him back because he is borderline freakishly athletic for his size. I just hope he can straighten out the legal issues and TT will resign him. I have my doubts on that one.

I love the four-headed DL monster of Jenkins/Pickett/Jolly/Raji. Get him locked up. Run is completely shut down.

I like this resigning (if it does happen) because a lot of mocks out there have us spending a 2nd or 3rd rounder on a D-Lineman. Pickett still has a lot in the tank and is playing at a very high level. Raji/Pickett/Jenkins is a great front 3... no sense in breaking it up.

But Resigning Collins is a must as well, and you gotta believe that will get done soon.

EDIT: Another thought-- what is the latest with Jolly's legal issues? Should we be pegging him as a surefire rotation guy for next year or will he be out of the league?

If there is no new CBA we don't have to use a tag on Collins, he will be restricted. One way or another he will get taken care of. The Jolly situation is tough. Even if there is a plea deal and he gets no jail time he would likely get some kind of suspension. I think there are real concerns within the organization about giving him a big contract.

No brainer. glad to see! Most of us (if not all) recognized Pickets great level of play. And 30 is not old for DL.

I doubt there will be a new CBA unless players cave big time. Won't happen - yet.

Jolly? Gotta love his play but he's not a TT kind of Packer. but seems popular w/ team-mates. IF we could keep guaranteed money low then for sure resign him. It will be interesting. Maybe if there is a positive legal outcome - trade for an early 2nd? He's worth more IMO but doubt we'd get it. I'd personally keep Jolly but I'm OK either way.

Give Collins a good offer so he's happy! 2 Pro Bowls. Try not to have to tag him.

In article on Jolly there's mention of College whining about contract. Now there's a guy I'd make a low priority and a low offer. He got better as season progressed because Tauscher & Clifton got healthy but was absolute crap 1st half and currently still our worst starter on entire O or D.

Really College is crying about a contract? I'd let him go just for thinking he has the right to cry about it. He is an average player at best.

I found that interesting as well.

Who knows about Colledge. Maybe he was asked by multiple reporters at different times what he thought of Pickett apparently being in talks and got annoyed. Or not. I don't put much weight in those kind of quotes. Besides, he's also an RFA.

Pickett is a must sign, IMO. It'll probably take 4 years with very solid money, but TT will frontload it like he always does and make the signing bonuses into roster bonuses so it isn't prorated and we aren't on the hook longterm if something happens and his play drops off.

I'm not really worried about losing anyone honestly. TT will take care of his own guys, IMO. Colledge and the other RFA guys may just have to suck it up and realize the CBA is screwing them and not TT and the organization. Collins, of course, will probably get a very nice 5 year deal. Tramon should probably also get a nice chunk of change.

Colledge has made these remarks before, long before the Pickett situation came up. He's said that he is auditioning for 31 other teams every Sunday. Good riddance.
