Of course draft & acquisitions will affect & probably alter this, for example
Getting LT probably lowers or eliminates Clifton
Getting OLB probably lowers BJones
Getting CB probably lowers or eliminates Harris

Also how well those returning from IR are is unknown but for this exercise those players are projected to return at 90% of pre-injury performance.

Also Jolly’s legal issue outcome is unknown.

*QJohnson – no doubt a great lead blocker. But will he develop as receiver? Will he develop as a reliable blitz blocker? It will affect if he is an asset or liability on pass plays. If he doesn’t he’ll be one dimensional and will somewhat telegraph our intent or limit our options when he’s in there.

SPECIAL –
Kampman – most unknown – will he be back? If so how used?
Harrell – can the poor kid stay healthy? He’d probably be good if he could.

Like I said in another thread, I expect Brandon Underwood to take a huge leap forward next season in his development. The coaching staff has heaped praise on him and he's a top notch athlete. I think he's really benefiting from seeing how Woodson goes about his business, too. Twice in the Arizona game I saw him come up in run support and make a tackle that I was positive was Woodson until I saw the number on his jersey.

If it were up to me, a healthy Spitz would start at center with TJ Lang at left guard. Colledge and Wells just aren't strong enough for my taste. They give up initial push in the middle far too often.

Jeremy Thompson won't be on the team next year. Obiozor has a chance of making it and they'll probably add another draft pick or something. I doubt Kampman is back with us next year.

I'm quickly losing hope for Giacomini. When recently asked if he thought he was a player, Philbin said something like 'I don't know. I guess the general manager must like him for him to be on the roster.' Not exactly an endorsement...

I think the team feels pretty comfortable with Flynn. He's solid enough that if Rodgers goes down for a couple of games during the season, we can still win a game or two with him. It's not worth investing much more in a backup QB, though. If Rodgers goes down for an extended period, we're not winning anything anyways.

I agree if we don't need Lang at RT. IF Lang does start at LG, then resign Spitz as starting center and I keep Wells and Smith as interior backups and NOT resign College at all.
However if Lang does play RT then in that case - Wells > College IMO - so I'd resign and start Spitz at LG and Wells at C. Then maybe resign College as interior backup (with Smith) if Daryn signs for relatively cheap.
