Not sure if this is the year I finally abandon this dead in the water franchise, but for those who are positive they'll be buying, you can pre-order it for
$40 here. Free shipping, too.

I got Madden '08 (or whatever one with Favre on it) for the wii, but hardly played/play it. I thought the actual motions of throwing and what not would be kinda cool, was for a day. But overall I just can't get into video games anymore. I don't have the patience to sit down and play like I did in jr high/high school. Playstation 1 was the last machine I played alot and PS2 here and there. The graphics are remarkable now though, will say that.
I'll maybe buy NBA Jam for wii b/c I liked the original alot.

I thought they really cleaned up their act with Madden 10. It's the first Madden in a long time that I'm still playing now.

I'll buy Madden again when they finally build a version of the Franchise mode that doesn't completely suck.

Yep the franchise mode is terrible. If I remember correctly, the 2k series did a much better job with franchise mode.

The 2k franchise was doing a much better job at almost everything. So EA had to throw a ton of money at the NFL to stop that action.

I hadn't played Madden in a long time until this past iteration. None of them could hold my attention for more than 5 minutes. Just hated them. This past season's game was the best I can remember, but I still lost interest. Essentially kept playing because of the league that was going. But then time kept me from committing to that anymore and I never played again.

I just ordered it not a bad deal $40 plus free shipping.. Even if the game isnt that good you can always trade it in and get your money back! PS that code works for all EA games on the site so non madden players can join in on the deal!

I agree completely, its been like 6 years of next gen and they still don't have all the franchise features from the last gen franchise mode. Though the online franchise is fun and redeems the offline franchise a bit if you have all the slots filled.....

chuckleslove, you are now officially my favorite poster. 6 years later and I'm still very, very bitter with EA about this.

I'm flattered I guess

Video games are the only thing in life that rivals the passion I have for sports. I actually have a degree in making video games from DigiPen. One of the games I made my second year is still up on the website since it was an IGF finalist

EDIT: found it
https://www.digipen.edu/?id=1170&proj=546I just hated the thought of working 80 hours a week so when I graduated I never did a damn thing with my degree, I've forgotten a lot of what I learned over the last 7 years so I'd need to read up a lot and probably go back to school if I wanted to get back in but I am passionate and know my video games
I'm also still bitter about the EA/2K/NFL licensing crap. Madden 2010 was the first football game I bought since NFL 2k5. The only reason I got it was because I got it as a bundle when I bought a 360 so I got it for free(bought XBox 360 elite and got Madden and extra controller for free).

lol @ Macs
There would have been no reason to learn to make a game on a mac back then

Still not much of one now though they are a little more popular now.
