Just my thoughts. Where am I wrong???

Looks about right to me, though I think maybe Duane Brown needs to be on that list somewhere.

I wonder where Domanick Davis(Williams) would have ended up had he been able to stay healthy.

Jamie Sharper was pretty damn good while he was here as well, but those guys played back in the dreaded Carr era, which should be forgotten forever.

I'm not sure I'd even put Joseph on the list quite yet after just one good season(he has sucked this year, while obviously being hurt has something to do with that).

Dunta? Glenn?

Where are Aaron Glenn, Duane Brown, and Chris Meyers? I would put them ahead of Kevin Walter, Jonathan Joseph, Mario Williams, and DeMeco Ryans

Imo Dunta was overrated

I'd put Duane Brown and Aaron Glenn in over Walter and Joseph. Myers probably too. Brown has been the 2nd best LT in the AFC the last 3 years.

What the hell, I will toss one together and see how it goes. Mind you, I put absolutely no time or effort or any significant thought into this, but that is usually when I do my best work. So, without further delay, I give you my list:

1) Andre Johnson
2) Owen Daniels
3) Duane Brown
4) DeMeco Ryans
5) JJ Watt
6) Arian Foster
7) Matt Schaub
8) Brian Cushing
9) Mario Williams
10) Aaron Glenn

I would rank Watt even higher, but I didn't want to go too insane just yet. I do, however, believe he has had a much bigger impact in less than two full seasons(plus two playoff games) than Mario ever had(no disrespect to him, as I always thought he was a very good player when healthy), or Cushing. I gave DeMeco the spot ahead of him for now, due to his 5.5 seasons here and how productive he was.

I also thought about dropping Schaub down even further, but I think that not only is he easily the best QB we've had to this point, he has also been consistently very good when he has been healthy. Okay, not so much recently, but you know what I am saying.

Anyways...

I still wonder what Domanick could have become if he had not gotten hurt. I always thought he was fun to watch, especially on an otherwise crappy Texans team, and he was quite productive in his first few seasons until he got injured.

I think Cushing's value has been on display this year. In his absence the Bulls on Parade have been more of a heifer than an angry bull.

I've lived in Houston for over two years now and I'm still completely indifferent on Matt Schaub. I'll say this though--it's hard to win in the playoffs when the QB is not a strong leadership presence, and Schaub just isn't that guy.

I like that list better. I agree completely about J.J. at this point. I do think that he has the potential to be remembered as a Houston Football Great. He's already halfway there!

And Domanick Davis was a lot of fun to watch, but he couldn't do much with the teams he was on. I'd think that his career would look very different if he had a line like the Texans have now.

Is Schaub the guy? He needs to prove it. Hasn't done it yet.

Yea, to be honest, I would probably revise my list and move him up higher, certainly higher than Schaub anyways, and probably Foster as well. There is no doubt that he is the most valuable player the Texans have on their defense, along side Mr. Watt of course.

I also agree about Schaub. I like the guy, I think he's a very solid QB when he is healthy and playing at his best, but he doesn't exactly inspire a ton of confidence or come across as the kind of QB that can lead a team to a Super Bowl. That is pretty much how I feel about Kubiak as well.

Maybe he will prove to all of us he has what it takes after all. He definitely belongs on the list though IMO. Let us not ever forget how horrible our QB situation was before he got here, though I have often tried to burn the memory of those years from my mind.
