Backup QB - Keenum or Yates?

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Sat Aug 31, 2013 8:33 pm

Houston appears to have two pretty solid backup quarterbacks in TJ Yates and Case Keenum.

So...which one should be considered the #2 QB on the roster?

Speaking of QBs

Brett Favre isn't considering a return to the NFL, but his agent said he remains in great shape.

"Today, he could play today," Bud Cook said Monday night, via the Mobile Press-Register. "I saw him the other day. He's in the best shape I've ever seen him in, physically."

"His arms look like a blacksmith's arms. He rides a bike probably 30-50 miles a day. He runs four or five miles a day. He's coaching at the high school and they're undefeated. He loves it. His body fat is 7.5 percent and he weighs 225 pounds. He could play today, better than a lot of them out there today."

I'm sure Favre is still perfectly capable of throwing a ton of interceptions, but we already have a guy who is good at that.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Favre is a choker....he loves the big games...loves throwing INTs at crucial times.

I want Keenum...surely the situation can't be any worse than scrub schaub.
