2018 season game thread

Post#1 » by Prince12 » Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:16 am

Well, week 2 has arrived. In some ways thankfully after last week it's come quickly.

I have pretty low expectations but still excited to see Watson from the start. Unfortunately he will probably find himself under some extreme heat out there but if he can get out and run I think he can get through.

We are simply decimated right now by injuries and need to find a way to stay afloat the first month or so.

Really if we are going to win we are going to need the defense to be firing on all cylinders. Watt/Clowney/Mercilus 5 sacks tonight please.

Feed The Foreman.

Pretty good win, they don't look good at all but we had a lot against us and won.

Coupled with all the injuries coming in, to lose Joseph and then Johnson, I mean it's getting crazy. Lose that and we are maybe in to big of a hole to get back already but we stay afloat.

The defense was back with a vengeance and Watson showed some great signs. He certainly doesn't get panicked. Very happy we got through that.

The JJ spear at the end topped it off.

Congratulations Texans, and your reward is traveling to NE next week to face Brady and the Pats.

So, the Texans cut Jaelen Strong.

Now our WR's are Hopkins, someone, nobody, blah.

And we traded up in the draft to grab him.

And they hardly ever really threw to him or gave him much of a chance in the offense.

Is it just me, or does it seem like this organization is run by nincompoops?

I think we need to draft the best available WR and OT in the first couple rounds next year....ohhhhhhh wait.

Nevermind.

Somewhat more positive news, Fuller could possibly be back against NE:

I look forward to his spectacular drops.

Kidding, hopefully he can come back and make some big plays for us because we damn sure need it. Just hope his hands got bigger while he was rehabbing.

They flat out cut Jalen Strong?

I guess he'll go on to be productive elsewhere. Hopefully not in the AFC South.

Maybe NE can grab him before we play so he can score a couple TD's against us.

That sounds depressingly accurate.

Nope! Your initial concern has come to fruition! He will still be a member of the AFC South:

Seems like we play at NE every single damn year. Extremely tough ask, if Watson impresses here then ill be very excited. Brady looked absolutely at his best again last week so lets just hope the defense is on fire, thats our only shot.

Watson is pretty good, Ass Chin is really bad, and Brady is the GOAT.

RD79 is in need of vodka.

Oh, and screw you, Corey Moore. Don't think I've forgotten about that game winning INT you dropped.

I mean you can't play in New England and then have the refs screw you over aswell. Brady was well and truly down, even the tv coverage said it was obvious which cost us a timeout. The picked up flag which would've extended the last drive, it's just an absolute joke.

Sensational performance and one that we can certainly build on. There aren't many teams that will beat us if we play that way on both ends. Watson is ice cold, he showed it in college and he's already shown it gets, brilliant performance by the rook.

Our secondary is a big issue right now. That was the biggest negative on the day.

Well that was fun yesterday.

Its so amazingly enjoyable having a quarterback that can actually make some plays. Still expecting some bumps along the way but Watson looks the real deal early.

Fuller returning gave us another nice target and Hopkins seems to be finding some nice chemistry now with Watson.

We seen the benefits of having a qb that can be a dual threat with Lamar breaking out a little bit, i expect that to continue.

The defense was good, was nice to see the secondary come up with some big plays although the opposition qb play was questionable to say the least.

Next week is huge, man that Pats game would've been nice to grab, 3-1 would be so sweet. If we show up and beat the Chiefs my optimism will go up another level. I couldn't have predicted id be feeling so good about the season after week 1. Stunning turnaround.

It's always a good feeling to beat down the ex-Oilers. Just ask Andre:

Wouldn't mind having Brown back either.

It will be interesting to see how they perform against KC in prime time. Good test to see how good they can really be this year.

Watson loves the moment. He's going to blow up! Texans 31-20 :D
