Any Texans fans out there? Anybody? Feel free to remove the bag of shame from your head and let your allegiance be known, lol. Nowhere to go but up from here right?

I'll start it off. Feel free to add things to this template or just do your own thing.

Where are you from?

Born in Milwaukee Wisconsin but I have lived in Houston almost my whole life. Specifically, I live in Missouri City which is a suburb just outside of Houston.

School:
Graduated from the University of Houston

Work:
Pimping...my talents. I do a lot of stuff actually. perhaps I'll share it all eventually. 8)

Interesting Fact About Yourself (keep it clean, lol):
I have a beautiful soon to be 7 months old daughter. She is pretty much running the house now.

Why the Texans?
Guilty by association as they are the hometown team.

All-Time Favorite Texan:

This is a tough one, so many choices, lol. I'll say Andre Johnson.

Favorite Current Texan:
Did I mention they have a guy named Andre Johnson?

Favorite Texan Moment:

I honestly can't think of anything. :( I would say David Carr getting cut but damn, they got nothing for the guy they picked 1st overall so that wasn't exactly a great day.

Least Favorite Moment:

The day the organization decided not to draft Vince Young.

If you could play football, what position and why?

Running back because that is what I'm best suited for.

Predict the Texans' record and successes/failures this season:

8-8 finally...I hope. Mario Williams will have a breakout season.
 The front office confuses us all again on draft day and leave us in a state of bewilderment.

Where are you from?
Born in Houston, lived there till '98. Moved to Brady, TX (5 hours NW of Houston).

School:
Senior in Brady High School, attending Texas Tech University next fall.

Work:
Assistant at my region's Council of Governments

Interesting Fact About Yourself (keep it clean, lol):
Nothin' really. Had a lot of surgery. 6 operations in 4 years, 3 of which in a 4 week span.

Why the Texans?
Hometown team. Still root for the Titans (Oilers never die....)

All-Time Favorite Texan:
Jerome Mathis and Jamaal Lord

Favorite Current Texan:
Matt Schaub

Favorite Texan Moment:
Gaining 46 total yards of offense and still beating the Steelers by 18 points in 2002.

Least Favorite Moment:
Passing on Bush and Young

If you could play football, what position and why?
TE/FB. Just seems like where I'd be best fit.

Predict the Texans' record and successes/failures this season:

7-9. Schaub will prove to be a worthwhile investment. The defense will take a big step forward. Texans will be spoilers for a few teams this year and contend next year.

I can just see the future right now, until the Texans make some more good decisions, this board is not going to be so popular, lol.

Where are you from?
Born in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada. Moved to Ottawa, Ontario 5 years ago for university.

School:
Biopharmaceutical Science (3rd year) and English (2nd year) at the University of Ottawa

Work:
Housing Services at the University of Ottawa

Interesting Fact About Yourself (keep it clean, lol):
- First language was french (only really started speaking english when I was 12
- I once tumbled down two flights of stairs while carrying an old toilet which somehow resulted in my needing 4 stitches on my arm

Why the Texans?
I grew up with the CFL and until very late in my life, I actually preferred it to the NFL. When I started to really get into the NFL, I figured it was time to pledge myself to a team. I didn't want to be labelled a bandwagoner so I picked the team with the least amount of history so that I could grow with it.

All-Time Favorite Texan:
David Carr in his first year. I was convinced that guy was going to be a superstar.

Favorite Current Texan:
Demeco Ryans.

Favorite Texan Moment:
Picking Mario Williams ahead of Reggie Bush. As much of a mistake this move might have been, I loved that it took everybody by surprise and that it was a move that took beachball sized balls to pull off.

Least Favorite Moment:
Passing on Bush

If you could play football, what position and why?
When I played highschool football, I played left tackle and spot duty at defensive tackle and fullback (that's what happens when you're a 6'5.5" 360lbs 17 year old). I was also our punter at the end of the season. Unfortunately, my complete lack of athleticism and stamina hindered my production (even after I grew an inch and lost 30 lbs).

Predict the Texans' record and successes/failures this season:

I think it all depends on what happens with the O-line. If significant effort is put forth to improve it through the draft, I think the Texans can get 8 wins. If the line stays the same, I think Schaub will look like Carr #2 and the texans will be 6-10.

Welcome!

It's pretty hard to be a fan of the Texans because they're about as low profile as there is in the NFL. Luckily, I have a sattelite which means I get three to four different games every Sunday due to Canadian regional broadcasting. I can usually see 3-5 Texans games a year. Combine that with NFL Network highlights and internet sites and I get decent coverage. Of course, I realize I'm nowhere near being a hardcore fan (due to forementioned limitations) like I imagine most on this board to be.
