So in the ESPN article where AJ calls Schaub a leader, he also says Carr never learned how to make reads.

"Just from looking at the way he walks around the locker room and things like that, you can tell he's a leader," Johnson said. "That's something you want to have at the quarterback position."

He said it was disappointing that Carr, who was the first pick in the 2002 draft, wasn't able to succeed in Houston and offered an opinion why. Johnson was the third overall pick in 2003.

"From my first year here, I think it was the way he was coached," Johnson said. "My first couple of years here he was pretty much just told where to throw the ball at, and a lot of people didn't know that. He was never really taught to go through reads and things like that. Once coach [Gary] Kubiak came in, that was his big thing, teaching him how to go through reads. So it was like he was starting all over again."

Man this article is very telling. Johnson threw Carr under the bus so to speak but the things he said speak volumes into the development and coaching of Carr. Dude can't read defenses? What starting NFL QBs aren't taught how to read a freaking defense for goodness sakes?

Schaub will be great for us, I can't wait till the 1st game, I want to see this new QB-WR-RB trio play.

Schaub will be a much better QB than Carr.

I think a lot of the players felt the same way about Carr. I remember reading a John McClain Article that portrayed Dunta as having the same opinion.

This team pretty much hated Carr for the job security he got. It's all explained in this article I wrote on Sunday:

Since then, Carr has visited the Seahawks, Dolphins, and the Raiders. Today, David Carr came back to Houston and re-signed with the Texans. I was all like "Yo, Dave, wanna come back" and he was all "duuuude, fo sho!"" Terms of the deal are undisclosed, but it has been revealed that it is a multi-year deal.

We have other problems we need fixing, but I got tired of carr being the scapegoat.I don't think Matt is too much better then the back up qb we already have.I guess any new change in direction is good enough for the fans to bite and have restored hope this upcomming season.
