Trading the pick

Does anyone else think that the best idea would be to see who is available at 10 with a deal in the works to move down?
I just would hate for Peterson to be there and we missed out on yet another explosive back...I know we signed Green but he is merely a bandaid due to age. Or Joe Thomas perhaps?

We will most likely trade the pick, thats what I see happening, maybe getting a quailty wide reciver to go up with Johnson.

I would love for us to try to move that pick and trade down in the 1st and get either a second to replace the one we gave up or a high 3rd. That is unless Peterson falls to 10.

I like the thought of keeping the pick if Gaines Adams is on the board. If Williams develops and Adams comes in as good as advertized, the Texans D could be scary good. Anyt trade down would have to be in order to get additional O-linemen and maybe a potential RB.

Adams would be great but I haven't seen a mock anywhere that thinks he will fall that far.

I never saw a mock that had Aaron Rodgers or Deangelo Williams in the mid twenties either. It's always good to hope.

I knew somebody would make a point like that but seriously, I think this particular guy is a lock to be gone before we pick. A lot of people weren't really enthusiastic about Rodgers and Smith that year but they were the top two QBs so they had to be talked about.

I have to reluctantly agree. Plus I was still in the #8 pick mode of thinking which would have made the scenario somewhat more plausible (yet still unlikely).

The Texans need a playmaker....Human highlight reel...Ted Ginn Jr. Thats who we should take at #10....Jesus Christ pair him with a healthy Mathis returning kickoffs and line him up opposite of Andre Johnson thats sick...his leg will be fine

I keep hearing that Houston-Denver deal pop up. I'd be fine dropping to 21 and picking up Staley while adding a pick or two.
