So, which of our other guys goes in the blank spot? Can Travis Johnson possibly produce this season?

If it were my choice, I'd slide Weaver to the inside, and place Babin on the outside opposite of Mario. Weaver has some experience lining up at tackle, mostly on passing downs, but I think he could make the transition full-time.

I doubt that happens, so I think we'll see:

Weaver
Zgonina/Maddox
Okoye
Williams

But only at the beginning of the season. I think Travis Johnson proves he can play consistently in the 1st half of the season and earn the starting spot from Zgonina/Maddox by Week 10 or 11.

It sounds like it is indeed going to be Maddux going into the season.

So, what's up with Babin and Johnson? Can they salvage their careers at this point? I can see them both being good for depth at the line, but I'm thinking that their days as starters are done.

2 wasted 1st round picks. You just can't do that and expect to be a good team.

I really like how they're constantly sending in fresh guys on the D-Line. They really set the tone for today's game.

Heh, a few months back we're talking about Babin and Johnson being wasted picks, but it seems as if Travis Johnson may actually turn into something, and Babin already has turned into something - Michael Boulware!

Thank god for that trade, too...we need help in the secondary.

Wow that line has been looking really good the first 2 games. We have never seen production like this from the front 4 in the history of this franchise. Hope they can keep it up. Indy will be a challenge as they are for every other team in the league as well. They really protect Peyton well.

I'd also like to acknowledge the offensive line. They have been playing better as well. I honestly believe a lot of it has to do with the QB. He doesn't hold onto the ball too long like David Carr.
