Andre Johnson!

Post#1 » by SportsWorld » Sun Sep 16, 2007 6:11 pm

Man I love him. Probably the best WR in the game.
He already has 3 TD's in 1 1/2 games.
This guy is something special.

Andre has flown so far under the radar because of how bad this team has been, but this year he and a few other Texans will become better known around the country.

Personally, I haven't minded that he's always been so underrated because I've always managed to snag him a bit later in my fantasy leagues.

He's going to have an even bigger year this year, Matt Schaub has been amazing at worst! Having a quarterback who can thread the needle and go fairly deep is going to only show how incredible Johnson really is.

Hopefully Dre can finally get some national attention this year....He was my favorite player in college and it's nice that you finally got a QB that can get him the ball.

He is under-rated but he id definitly not the best WR in the league. You have Steve Smith, Chad Johnson, & Marvin Harrison... I dont even know if hes a top 5 guy. Its unfortunate that he had to get an injury in week 2.

Harrison, Smith, Chad Johnson, Randy Moss, and Torry Holt are all better, but Andre is number 6

Holt? Really? I mean he's awesome but isn't he getting older?

Better than 'Dre?

Hmmm..................well, 'Dre is having the better season so far, it's nice to see what he can do once he finally has a real QB(although he did lead the NFL in receptions last year I believe).

Sucks he's out against Indi, but I suppose it's the right move just to make sure he doesn't hurt it any more. I assume he'll be good to go the next week.

EDIT: Also I love Harrison but I'd love to see what Andre could do in a system like that with as much help as Harrison has to take pressure off him, as well as the best QB in the league not named Brady.

Source: Houston Chronicle

"Andre Johnson doesn't have full range of motion in his sprained knee yet, and isn't expected to play in Week 8 at San Diego."

In a chat on the Houston Chronicle website, beat writer Megan Manfull says not to count on him returning until after the Week 10 bye. "I think it would still be a leap to say he's going to be back this week," coach Gary Kubiak said in his Monday press conference. Andre' Davis will likely get at least two more starts.

I have a chance to acquire Andre and Schaub in my Fantasy League... I wish I knew more about their expected time of return to action. :(
