Favre was fined $10,000 for his cheap shot at Eugene Wilson.

What do you think - was he punished too much, not enough or just about right?

Not enough IMO. I don't think he had any intent to hurt anybody, but it was still a dirty play, hence why it's illegal. What if he ended the guy's career on that play? He should know better, he's been playing since the Great Depression.

Sweet precious Lord Favre can do no wrong. $10,000 is nothing for him. That's not even a slap on the wrist. I've a hard time believing that if it was almost any other player, they'd be suspended for at least one game.

Oh well. It's too bad we don't face them again this season, but it doesn't matter. His arm will fall off by week 7 anyways, right about the time Peterson is coming back from his inevitable injury.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

A one-game suspension and a game check should have been the punishment, but I guess that the NFL does protect their quarterbacks.

The bad thing for Favre is that while he doesn't play the Texans again, he does play 16 other teams, and I don't think you'll find a defensive player in the league who approved of what Favre did. He already had a target on him, and now I think that it is bigger.
