Jose Reyes vs Hanley Ramirez
Which one would you take? It's a tough one.
Both are special players. Hanley has more power, but defense and speed goes to Reyes.
I'm going with Reyes, but Hanley definitely has the talent to be better.

People talk about how Hanley is going to be a 30+ HR guy which is probably is, Reyes will be also, just watch. He is a monster in the weight room and he grew in size so much since last year.

Ramirez was a rookie last year? A lot of people predict he won't be as good this year.
Yeah, but you said Reyes has been doing it longer when the previous 1200 ABs(before last season) he had an OPS lower than .700 and an OBP just over .300. Plus I was just giving you a hard time anyways.

Yeah, but that OPS was a whole lot better than Hanley's .000 OPS.

So being in the majors and being terrible gives one a better track record than not being in the majors? I'd take Reyes over Hanley as well, but certainly not because of their track records. Jose Reyes sucked dick until last year.kg2005 wrote:I'm trying to make a point that Ramirez didn't play. Obviously he got a few at bats and his OPS wasn't 0, but I didn't look it up.

If I had to pick one to start a franchise, id go Hanley because of his youth. But Reyes does always seem to be well liked around the clubhouse. However, I think over time Hanley will become much more of a clutch hitter

At this point Hanley has the potential to go down as the best hitting shortstop of all-time*
