That catch by Harris literally saved our season. Losing to the Mets after going into the 9th with a 4-run lead would have been a season-crushing defeat.

If we end up going to the playoffs, that catch will come to symbolize our late-season push.

Congrats on a pretty convincing series victory guys. Maybe we'll be up to the challenge in a couple weeks at the Ted. In the mean time, watch your back in Philly. I hear they want second place back

check it again...I give credit where credit is due

For some reason I remember a certain post about how the Mets should stop losing to the crappy teams and that the Braves weren't that good. Something along those lines with a few angry/whiny "emoticons" after it. It's all good though, it has to be hard losing every series against your division rival. Having ol' Larry hit a 3 run tape measure shot probably didn't help.

Anyways, almost choked away another. It must be nice for opposing fans when they see Yates and Soriano come into the game. That would have been heart breaking, but I can live with another series win and another good game from our starter who was pitching without anything close to his best stuff. Hopefully us blowing the sweep doesn't come back to bite us.

Funny, you see it as blowing a sweep and we see it as a missed opportunity to take 2/3. Anyway, I think you're going to have a hard time in Philly. I expect we'll be back up by 5 by on Sunday night...

Of course you do, but as each of the four series have shown, you guys just can't beat us. We don't even have to play particularly well and we still beat you. You better pray we don't meet up in the playoffs. I want the Braves to win the division, but I'll be just as pleased with the wild card as long as we get to play the Mets.

And what a deserving division champ, hoping for other teams to do the work they can't. :D

 I just posted something along the same lines in the Mets forum

If we took any other route, it wouldn't be the same...They can't beat anyone else besides us with the same consistency. It would be a damn shame if/when they get cancelled and we weren't the ones to knock them off. Then everyone will be saying, "yeah well, if mets played the braves, they would have lost."

I too, hope that the Mets and Braves meet up in the playoffs.

The 3rd place Braves are going to be all confident and cocky going into the series when the better Mets team is going to take care of business. It's going to be hilarious.

Do you guys even believe the stuff you post or are you just doing it because as prideful fans it's what you have to do? I would think you guys would like to win a series against us before you guys start predicting anything. At least one.

I advise you to stay away from predicting anything because as your sig implies, it's going to take an act of God to bring a championship to ATL. Even if you back into the playoffs, it's going to be the same tired sequel, "Braves get eliminated again - EARLY" - Part 15. Face it dude, you seem like a nice fellow, very humorous too, so I don't want to see your hopes dashed. Your team lacks the SP, RP and the depth necessary to win ANYTHING.

We squeaked that one out.

Now we just need to continue to win against Philly and hope the Mets lose.

That's cute, a Mets fan talking down to a Braves fan. It's silly for me to even reply to your posts after the 8th lashing your team has received at the hands of my Braves, but I will say one thing: The Braves are built for the post season. Our lineup is without a doubt the best in the league (even with Renteria out) and I'd take a one-two punch of Smoltz and Hudson in the post season over anyone else in the NL.

Start praying we don't make the post season, because a playoff berth for the Braves means an early ride home for the Mets.

I'll let you get back to your misery.
