This is an important series for the Yanks. Cleveland are leading the AL Wild card, right.

No, Cleveland is leading their Division, the AL Central. The Yankees and Mariners are tied for the Wild Card, with the Tigers a game out of the Wildcard and half a game behind the Indians.

Posada must be hurt worse than what people anticipated and everyone has pitched very well this series for the Yanks.

Looks like we kept Pettitte in one inning to many! I told you that 6 innings was good enough for me.

Nice inning by Pettitte.

Worked out of a basesload jam wit no outs and gave up only 1 run

I'll give it to Pettitte. He didnt fall apart, and even though I wouldve liked to see a shut-out, I can live with him only giving up 1 run, especially with no-outs and bases loaded.

He only had 70 pitches through 6 innings and he was pitching great.

I just had a feeling the 7th inning might be a bad one for him...luckily he battled out of it.
