They found something in his arm.
Another year. Prior has to be the oddest person ever. :banghead:

We have wasted enough time and money on this guy. Time to let him go.

I wish him the best but yeah, I really don't care. We actually have a solid rotation (and some young guys waiting in the wings), so we aren't at all dependent on his health.

Who knows, maybe he'll be back next year looking as spry as ever. If not, oh well.

Maybe we'll see him in 2010.

Kevin Goldstein of BP has one of the few editorials I've seen supporting Prior.

Jumping To Prior Conclusions

I'm not sure I agree with it, but it's a bit of a different side than most of what's been written and worth a look.

Good read GYBE.

I still like Prior and I hope he can come back and be a solid pitcher for the Cubs...at some point.

Through all this, I'd hate to see him (or Wood) leave Chicago. At the same time though, it could be a good thing. I'm pretty torn. What I do know is I'd hate to see these guys pitching [well] for another team. Not that I'd wish them failure if they were to move on, but it would just hurt to see. I still want them retiring as Cubs.
