Both immensely talented players, both arguably the best in their sport. Peyton just managed to shake the can't win the big game/choker label, and I think it's just a matter of time before AROD does the same. Still, after just winning the Super Bowl, I think you have to give the nod to Peyton Manning.

Peyton's had arguably the most challenging bracket, and this matchup may spell his doom, especially w/ the new panel they have of Michael Smith (Patriot ties, loves Brady), Erin Andrews (probably likes the pretty boy A-Rod), and Greeny (see reason for Andrews).

Peyton's best bet is that A-Rod is polarizing enough to get a split decision in NY, who'll probably have the most votes for a state. But we are in season for MLB, and A-Rod looks to be on his way to an MVP year, and may even be the leader in the Yankees' surge to make the playoffs. The "What have you done for me, LATELY??" factor may give A-Rod a slight edge.

Of course, I'm voting for Peyton, but IDK if he'll make it out of this round!

July 25: Jordan final: (1) Tiger Woods vs. (2) LaDainian Tomlinson
July 26: Ali final: (1) Peyton Manning vs. (2) Alex Rodriguez
July 27: King final: (1) LeBron James vs. (2) Derek Jeter
July 28: Ruth final: (1) Tom Brady vs. (3) Shaquille O'Neal

my predictions:
woods def. LT
peyton def. arod
lebron def. jeter
brady def. shaq

July 29: Jordan winner vs. Ali winner (woods vs. peyton)
July 30: King winner vs. Ruth winner (lebron vs. brady)

its gonna be really really tough to be predict from there....

Peyton Wins!

Ali final: (1) Peyton Manning def. (2) Alex Rodriguez (52.2% - 47.8%)

Survive and advance baby! He won by a few percentiles in the closest matchup yet.

Good job, Peyton! I wasn't counting on Michael Smith to bail Ol' #18 out, but had he voted against him, Peyton would've lost.

Nothing against Erin Andrews, but I haven't liked any of her picks so far... well, really, it's her reasoning behind them...

Is Peyton against Tiger or the winner of LeBron/Jeter? I don't like his chances to win any of those, but he's lasted this far...
