Thoughts:
-Jason David got torched tonight. I seriously felt bad for the guy after a while. The Saints have put him in a position to fail as he is not a man cover corner and does not have the speed to not have over the top safety help. In his defense, he did score the only TD of the night for the Saints.
-Peyton shredded the Saints defense. It wasn't just David. At times during the game, I was thinking "this simply isn't fair". Too many weapons, too good of offensive players. The chemistry between Peyton and his WR's is umatched.
-A coming out game for Freddie Keiaho. For those who thought losing June was a blow, you need to reconsider. Keiaho is physical and active, and he was all over the place tonight. It's like having a Bob Sanders in your LB'ing core.
-The defense is faster and more physical than ever before. We've upgraded at speed and physicality in the secondary namely in Marlin and Hayden, and it showed. I also think Ed Johnson has some really quick feet for a guy his size. He made me forget about Booger.
-Addai is in midseason form. Kenton Keith is very fast and looked good in limited carries.
-Defensive line was disruptive and controlled the line of scrimmage led by Freeney, Brock, etc.
-Offensive line looked sharp. Ugoh made some mistakes but showed good footwork and made some nice plays.
-Manning to Harrison, will this ever get old?

Impressive game...that, my friends, is a very good football team we've got there.
Loved the D, particularly the Linebackers. I'm sure there will be rocky spots, but they looked as good, if not better, than they did at any time last year, including the playoffs.
Can Bob Sanders stay healthy? Will Freddy Keiaho deliver on this promise he's shown?
The offense...well, what can you say? Gentlemen, we have ourselves a football team.

those are the 2 main questions, i was very impressed with keiaho but i wanna see some consistency first before i start praising him....
i was bummed to see that gonzalez only got a couple looks, which i can understand that since we were burnin david all night....

Weakest part of our game was our punt returns, so not much to complain about.
My favorite part of the game was watching the banter between Reggie Wayne and Jason David. Early on David was very animated and mouthy. As the game progressed the trash talk seemed to come to a halt: Reggie got even big time, Jason was left humbled. Jason David was one of my favorite players last year; he is a hitter and plays with a lot of heart. But he does have a tendency to give up the big play and needs more help than it looks like he might get out of his current crop of teammates.
It's early, but our secondary looks better than ever. Just got to keep Bob Sanders healthy for the playoffs.

Peyton missed him the one time, but I'm not concerned about Gonzales. He will be brought along slowly and be a factor when it really counts.
