Rumor: Kenton Keith for DeAngelo Hall?

Post#1 » by PR07 » Fri Oct 12, 2007 6:33 pm

The lowly Atlanta Falcons have displayed some interest towards former Roughrider Kenton Keith, who is now a member of the Indianapolis Colts. Sources in the Falcons front office stated that General Manager Rich McKay has been in contact with Bill Polian, Indianapolis' general manager about a possible trade, involving Keith and Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall. Hall, the Falcons star cornerback, has been displayed some displeasure with the team in the recent weeks and has demanded a trade after their most recent game, a 20-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans."

I think this would be a major steal if we could pull it off. I like Kenton Keith, but he's not someone that's irreplaceable. Hall is a bit troubled, but I wouldn't say he's anything like a Pacman Jones. He really can be a shutdown CB when he focuses and is a great return guy too, plus, he's only like 24. I think Hall is one of the top young CB's in the game...and when he dials in, he can shut down anyone...just ask Steve Smith.

id do this trade, although id hate to bring in the baggage that hall has tho....maybe peyton would keep him straightened out, kinda like moss goin to the patriots....we havent had a good return man in a long time and our secondary needs help....i couldnt imagine the falcons doin this trade, it looks completely one-sided

I doubt it's true, but the rumor also said we'd include a draft pick probably a fourth round pick or something of that nature. I still wouldn't do it if I was the Falcons, but that's just me.

What's Hall's contract look like? Can't see us being able to spend much on him.

Hall signed a 5 year 25 million deal in the summer of 2004. If the Colts did make this move, I'd think it would have to be because of Randy Moss and NE's spread formation.

I don't see why the Falcons would want Keith. They have Norwood and Dunn. They could get a lot more for Hall then Kenton Keith.

What possible deals for Hall can you think of?
