I'm hoping for a San Diego and Jacksonville win because I want to see the Jags play the Pats because I feel they will at least soften them up for us if we can win our first round matchup.

Can't wait for our game. I really have no preference to who we play first.

I would rather see J-Ville win... At least then we'll know that the Pats are facing a team that is closest to 100%. I know they lost Peterson and some others, but they've done a good job covering for him.

Tennessee w/ Vince at 100% don't really stand a chance in NE. Vince at 60% is not even funny. No offense to Collins, but we saw how he played vs. Baltimore's D in the Super Bowl. Haynesworth is gimpy, and now I hear that Bo Scaife is on IR b/c of the hit that Matt put on him. I hope he recovers fine, but their team is too beat up.

Then Pittsburgh isn't looking too much better. Ben isn't all there. Parker is done. Supersaiyan Polamalu is not all good. No Starks at Tackle. And they lost to NE when everybody was there. And Tomlin simply doens't have enough experience vs. Belichick.

I don't mind facing SD. We should've beat them at their place, and as long as Merriman hasn't had any visits to Balco lately, our line should be able to handle him for the most part. Plus Bob is DPOY, and LT and Gates are gonna feel it. Our backups have been quite impressive t/y. I'm most proud of Big Ed, but others like Clint at LB and Reid on ST are coming thru in a pinch.

If we get Marvin back after a week of practicing w/ Peyton, and get Mathis and Brock back to pressure Loud Mouth Rivers, I think we'll reign supreme. I didn't know this until tonite, but apparently we have the best record at home the last 3 years, something like 21-3, and we just gave a game away to Tennessee. I'll miss the Dome. Dome is good!

Glad to see Jacksonville won (although I won't be if the Titans win), they are still going to have to play much better if they want to beat the Pats though. It still was a hard fought victory though.

Glad to see the "Perfect Storm" happened. I think we can take San Diego, we almost beat them in a game @ SD in the rain where Manning had his worst start ever, and we were missing 3 to 4 key starters. They aren't going to be a pushover though.

Well, IDK if they'll be a pushover, but I do know that we should destroy them... We lost to them:
1) On their field,
2) While we lost DFree,
3) No Marvin,
4) Peyton had his worst game maybe ever,
5) In the rain,
6) After a demoralizing loss to the Pats,
7) And Automatic Vinny missed a chip.

I'm sure there are some more reasons in our favor, but I think we're gonna absolutely crush them... especially if Antonion Gates (whom I considered their best weapon after LT vs. us) is out or even less than 100%!

Dallas Clark and Ugoh were out too. As was Keiaho.

So is Marvin good to go for Sunday?

IDK, but ESPN's John Clayton mentioned his return in his No Huddle segment. Signs point to yes, but I won't believe anything until I see #88 on the field 1pm on Sunday.

:(

i'm not afraid to admit it...they own us like the pats used to. good game.

it sounded like we were still getting cheers from the fans after the loss, which is really good.
Now hopefully Dungy stays

I've always said we'd have a better shot against the Pats than the Chargers, they always seem to beat us and give us a hard time...We've now lost 4 straight against them.

Im dissapointed but not mad, I mean we've had so many injuries to deal with this year..Harrison,Freeney,Booger, Ugoh, Morris the list goes on...Its amazing we were able to clinch the #2 seed in the AFC with all our injuries to key players.

The best part of the game was when they had those punt, pass and kick kids on the field and the crowd booed the girl who had the NE jersey.

This doesn't surprise me all that much. The Colts typically struggle during their first round playoff game. If you remember, a pretty mediocre Kansas City team gave us a lot to handle during the first round of last year...we lost to the Steelers the season before. We couldn't consistently run the ball today, and it put our passing offense in a lot of "do or die" downs. Defense didn't look very tough or physical...and the Chargers outplayed us, bottom line.

The three cardinal rules of football:

1) Run the ball.
2) Stop the run.
3) Protect the football.

We didn't do 2 of those, so we lost. Not that San Diego ran the ball that well, but you can't turn the ball over that much and expect to win... Especially not in the playoffs, IDC who you are. If you count those last 2 T.O.D.s, we gave the ball away 5x.

The oldest adages remain true. I can't even say good season or good game, b/c it wasn't... not for what we should've done. We had control of every single game we played this year, and lost b/c of how we played. Injuries hurt too, but we really should've won all 3 that we lost... The Dome hasn't been good to us. We've been a much better road playoff team, even when Harbaugh was here. Let's hope the Luke shows us a little more hospitality...

Sorry if it's been down for a few days guys, I tend to take a few "down" days at the end of any of my team's seasons to recharged. Keep talking Colts though! Draft's not too far away!

I know we underachieved this season come playoff time, but we learned that this is still a really good football team that just had some tough luck with injuries.

Well, in this draft, we really need to focus one thing: SPEED RUSHERS!!!

When Espn released their rankings of each playoff team's positions and I saw that our DL was near the bottom, I was quite upset. Then I thought about it. DFree really accounts for at least 50% of our pass rush. They were right. Our run stopping was good, but our pass rush was terrible.

We need to have at least one if not two speed DEs behind DFree and Mathis in case they get hurt again. Of course, these speed rushers will probably be STers for the most part, but we need to have those bookends get up the field. The key to the Cover-2 is still and will always be the Front Four pressuring the QB, and we lost our ability to do that when Dwight went down.

No offense to Bob, but maybe we forgot about our other MVP is on the defensive side of the ball... Speed Rushers!!! Get 'er done, Polian!
