Following the game on my computer, I hoped they would lift Turnbow after walking Johnson and Harris.
Then after Renteria got a hit, I was hoping Cordero comes in. Bases loaded you need either a double play or strike out with one gone. I see Yost goes lefty/lefty matchup McCann v Shouse...didn't work.
My point is that unless Cordero wasn't going to pitch for the 3rd day in a row (I'm assuming he was able to go), you got to think what are the most important outs to get either Renteria w/ 2 men on or McCann w/bases loaded, not the hypothetical 9th inning w/ a 1 run lead. Saves are overrated, I would rather have my best bullpen pitcher get critical outs in the 8th and have someone else (say wise )go in the 9th
When Turnbow doesn't have it seems, Yost leaves him in too long and the damage is already done. I don't know if Turnbow was just missing on his two walks or if the hit by Renteria could of made...but jeez its frustrating to see the bullpen blow this.

I would agree with you, but at some point, if Turnbow and Shouse (can't get lefties) can't perform, we're screwed any way you cut it. Especially with Shouse versus lefties...
Yost is doing the right thing with his pitchers, the only way we succeed in th end is if the group as a whole succeeds...
