Michael DiRocco of ESPN is reporting that the Jacksonville Jaguars and veteran tight end Marcedes Lewis are close to reaching an agreement on a new contract. The goal between the sides is to come to terms before Lewis can become an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday, per the report.
The 31-year-old has spent his entire 10-year NFL career in Jacksonville and it appears that the franchise has interest in keeping it that way.
