The optimism surrounding the Jacksonville Jaguars' improved defense hinges largely on 2015 first-round pick Dante Fowler, who missed his entire rookie season after an ACL injury last May.

Fowler has participated in every OTA session this offseason and said he feels like he's growing with each snap.

Him being part of every session really is a best case scenario for his return. The young talent of D this year has me so pumped for the potential.

I know they have only had unpadded practices so far but he has looked REAL good. It was unfortunate that he missed all last season but he has made the best of a bad situation. He has come into this camp in great shape and defined his body more and he spent the entire last year in the playbook and by the coaches side.

Rookie DEs usually struggle their rookie year, but hopefully he will have a leg up seeing that he has been around the pro game for the past year.
