21-10 Mathis runs one back, Jones catches one in the end zone, and Garrard runs one in
Full of sound and fury; signifying nothing

Excuse me?

:D

Titans Win! Titans Win! Titans Win!

What happened to your D-Line? Chris Brown just went nuts all over you guys....What happened to Stroud and Henderson?... I didn't think it'd be THAT easy to run against you guys.

You put 8 in the box against the Titans and stop the run, forcing Vince to throw the ball. Guess the Jags didnt get the memo.

With the way that our O-Line was playing, getting into the 2nd level, I don't even think that would've worked this week.

You may be right. It's about personel and they werent playing the Patriots. The Jags are in for a long year.

Henderson played through a shoulder injury, Hayward is coming off a major injury, and Spicer sat out pretty much the entire off season with back problems. I don't think it was the D-Lines fault though, I saw a lot of mistackles from the Line Backers and Mike Peterson seemed out f position a lot. ALso I think not having Darius and Grant in the secondary is hurting them as well, Sammy Knight just isn't cutting it for me.

Tennessee is still a pretty good opponent though. They were underrated last year when they were supposed to go 3-13 and surprised alot of people, they'll do the same this year they won't be the doormat everyone expects them to be...Vince has a year under his belt and while they'll miss Pacman they will make up for it in other areas as Jeff Fisher is the best coach in the league IMO and the Titans will come up with with 7-9 wins this year .......which is sadly what I project Jacksonville's record to be near.So forget dreams of catching the Colts this year, the Jags will be fighting with the Titans for 2nd spot in the South.

Are you sure that's not the Colts fan talking in you as opposed to the Jags backer? :D

Honestly, I don't think I'd put as much weight into this game as the basis for judging the two teams. As JayDubya said, a lot of the Front 7 was injured this game. I mean, our O-Line is good and underrated but not THAT good to be making gaping holes for Chris Brown to explode through.

I was also very surprised by the decent amount of pressure and the great Run D that our D-Line was providing. I've always thought our D-Line of being the weakest point in our team overall (mostly because of the lack of depth and talent behind Haynesworth and Vanden Bosch), and we somehow got pressure on Garrard and stopped the run O against your O-Line, which I've always regarded as one of the top O-Lines in the league.

I also noticed Mike Peterson being WAY out of position on a few plays, and in others he seemed to be playing patty cakes waiting for something else to happen - just looking into the backfield while the running plays again and again passed him by.... I can understand that perhaps he was keying on Vince Young, but he's a vet MLB who's suppose to be able to make the read. I don't know what he was doing position wise on many of those plays.

Yeah, I don't know what was up, maybe it was just one bad game or maybe he is shaking of the rust of missing msot of last year? I'm starting to want the Jags to have D. SMith start at MLB and switch Mike Pete back to OLB. Just a thought.
