Draft and Offseason

who do you think the Jags should bring in this offseason from Draft or free agency????

I'm sure I will change my mind many times during the off season but this is what I am feeling right now. I think the Jags biggest needs are at defensive end, wide receiver, and the secondary. First I would like to see Jacksonville bring in a big name receiver, and there are a few who supposedly want out - Chad Johnson, Roy Williams, or Larry Fitzgerald. So I say we trade a 2nd or 3rd rounder for Chad Johnson. Now we have a big time deep threat to keep defenses honest, and we also will get a little bit more media attention with Chad and possibly even get a few more people in the stadium. For the draft I think we should either trade down for future picks or draft the best available defensive end, such as Lawrence Jackson from USC. As for the rest of the draft I would like to see them try in draft some depth at safety, corner back, o-line, quarterback, and running back. As for the secondary, rumor is Reggie Nelson will spend a lot of time at corner so that will strengthen our corner depth but that leaves us with some questions at safety. To fix this hole at safety, I would draft someone like Tom Zbikowski and then try and sign Atari Bigby in the free agency. WIth these moves our team would look like this-

QB- Garrard, Gray? (and rumor is Brunell wants back as the 3rd QB)
RB- Taylor, Mojo, rookie RB
FB- Jones
TE- Lewis, Wrighster, Estandia, Zelenka (LS)
WR- Johnson, Walker, Matt Jones (?)
WR- Williams, Wilford (?), Northcutt (?)
LT- Barnes, Collier
LG- Manuwai, rookie
Ce- Meester, Norman
RG- Mo Williams, Uche N.
RT- Pashos, rookie?

DE- rookie (Jackson?), Hayward (?)
DT- Stroud, Meier (maybe bring back Grady jackson if there is room)
DT- Henderson, Landri, McDaniel
DE- Spicer, McCray (?)
OLB- Durant, Ingram
MLB- Smith, Iwuh
OLB- Peterson, Hawkins
CB- Mathis, Starks, Cousin (?)
FS- Nelson/Williams, Sensenbaugh, Nkang
SS- Bigby, rookie (Tommy Z?)
CB- Williams/Nelson, rookie

K- Scobee
P- Podlesh

he's a FA, so i think bringing him back should be one of our top priorities.

Agreed, he is a top 2-3 FB in this league and I can only see his role increasing more and more as Fred Taylor starts to get up there in age.
