When, if ever, is Giambi expected to make his return?

The other day there were reports of as son as next week, but I haven't heard anything since so who knows. But it does look like pretty soon.

His Single A Tampa rehab game was rained out yesterday. I assume he'll be back in a week or so, and thank goodness, we really need him. It'll be very interesting to see what happens with Damon/Melky when Giambi comes back..

i think giambi should be a pinch hitter off the bench. I like having all this speed in the lineup with Melky and Damon.

OR, Damon becomes the everyday 1B and we have all three in the lineup.

Gotta ride this hot streak with Phillips. He his hitting the ball really well and been real clutch.

yeah I love Phillips. I also wouldn't be surprised if Damon got traded even though I'd rather see Abreu leave.

yea i agree....Speakin of abreu, I still do not understand why Abreu is still hitting in the number 3 slot.

Damon
Cabrera
Jeter
Arod
Matsui
Posada
Cano/Abreu
Phillips
Cano/Abreu

I'd move him to the #9 or number 7. since he has some speed.

Plus I never understood why a great hitter like jeter is not put into the three slot. He is a number 3 hitter and would be a great run producer.
