The 'Juggernaut,' better known as fullback Reagan Mauia, and veteran tight end Justin Peelle were among the 17 players asked to return their playbooks Saturday as the Dolphins got down to the league mandated 53-man roster.

Others cut:
CB Will Billingsley
LB Titus Brown
S Courtney Bryan
C Mike Byrne
WR Jayson Foster
LB Maurice Fountain
LB Junior Glymph
OT Darren Heerspink
RB Lex Hilliard (only draft pick cut)
LB Edmond Miles
TE Matthew Mulligan
LB Kelly Poppinga
C Matt Spanos
OL Pedro Sosa
DT Anthony Toribio
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Of all the players cut, only Peelle really surprises. Peelle is 5x the player David Martin is. Peelle will find a job very quick. I was inpressed with his pass catching and great blocking.

Peelle was a David Martin clone. Both have good hands to catch the ball but are very inconsistent. IMO, David Martin had a bit more success this offseason and has a slightly bigger body than Peelle. It came down to having 2 players who are similar or keep a 3rd TE who is a monster blocker (Ryan) giving you 3 different looking TE.

I really like our top 25-30 players. I expect th bottom of the roster to look different this time next year. Our depth is crap and if we have another injury-filled season like last year, we could easily be a 2 or 3 win team. If we stay healthy, I like our chances to win 7 or 8 games.

Bill is trying to add depth. Look at the D-Line, Langford-Merling,Signing Starks,Ferguson,Solia,Rod Wright. This time next year we could be looking to add a backup to that lineup, with Merline and Langford starting.
