So, our season is over....

Post#1 » by Flash3 » Sun Jan 4, 2009 9:33 pm

...but, all in all, what a hell of a season it was. It ended sadly (if you consider us even getting to the playoffs a reasonable expectation when we started this season), but at least we have a semblance of a real team and front office in place that knows and will do everything within its power to put a TEAM on the field capable of putting forth maximum effort, and having a legit chance to compete with any team out there.

We're going to have a tougher schedule next year, that's for sure. But, I'm not sure you can reasonably say this was a disappointment of a season, or can you?

When you take into account how much damage has been done to this organization by so many different inept front office staff (from failed draft picks to free agency bungles), to turn it around like this is nothing short of amazing.

Next year will surely be tougher but I think with a good off season and some more solid draft selections, this team is going to be building in the right direction in Tuna Year #2.
