cashman says torre and him might get the boot soon if things don't turn around real soon.
Isn't this the same rubbish all over again? so the yankees win 10 in a row their jobs is safe? what if they lose again?

If they keep playing like this why keep them around. Steinbrenner gave Cashman every oppurtunity to do this on his own and look what happened. As much as I love Torre, if we keep losing we have to bring in Bowa

Our minor leagues improved dramatically. We have quite a few young players on cheap contracts with huge upside. We have made some smart trades and signings. He is still paying the price of some of the mistakes that we made before like Pavano, Giambi etc. who are just not producing for a myriad of reasons. It isn't his fault the entire starting rotation got injured in the first month of the season. While Abreu has been terrible this season, he was a huge part of what took us to the playoffs last season. Cashman picked up quality arms to replace those of Farnsworth but for whatever reason they are either stuck in the minors or just completely lost all control and velocity. I think he has done a very good job so far and it will be a shame if he is fired for things that are out of his control. -Jitpal[/i]

I have to agree. You do have some valid points. But this is the NY yankees, we were suppose to contend now and every year. So far we have been nothing short of horrible.

Jitpal I agree about our minor leagues. But the props should go to our heads of scouting on that. The trades Cashman made in the offseason for prospects look like busts right now. Our amateur scouts deserve a lot of credit.
