I hate saying this but just remember, as long as the Cards don't make a run, your competition is the CUBS!

I really don't think the cards are going to make much more noise there pitching is just way to beat up.

Yup but - Carpenter, its a toss up. As a Cub fan I'm NOW equally scared of the Brewers and the Cards. Before it was just the Brewers. Now as I've said if Sheets does well, then its back to just the Brew.

Well in all honesty whatever happens this has been my favorite season that I have had watching brewers baseball besides the 91' brewers that went 91-71 and just lost out to the jays for the playoffs. That year was really cool mainly due to younts 3000th hit.

But this year has really been fun cause these guys are so young and will be around for some years to come (at least 4) so I think this has been a tough but good learning experience.

Man, those boys fell flat on their face...

Luckily for them they play in the JV league...

It sucks being so many games out in your division and the wild card and realize that you would be the runaway favorites if your team played in the NL Central.

Huh? The Braves would be tied for the Central, runaway favourites is a huge exaggeration.

If they got to play the Brewers, Cubs, Cards and Astros 18 times each instead of the East they'd have a much better record.

Fixed. The Cubs, Brewers and Cards are not easy wins.

Braves records against the Central:

St. Louis: 2-3
Cincinnati: 1-6
Pittsburgh: 5-1
Chicago: 5-4
Milwaukee: 2-1
Houston: 2-1

Total: 17-16

Well, this year you guys are still pretty mediocre against the division. And you're not even in the toughest division in the NL, so I hardly have any sympathy.

They are compared to the Mets and Phils. There's no question the Braves would win the central.

So what exactly are you basing this on, if your current record and record against the Central both argue against this? I'm sorry, Atlanta's just not that good. They'd be in this mediocre race with our teams as well.

There's plenty of questions, as in Why aren't they in the Central? or Why are they only one game over .500 against the Central?

Because of the Reds and Cards. The Central is by far and away the worst division in baseball. There's going to be several teams that don't make the playoffs that would have won the Central.

No one's arguing there won't be teams from other divisions that finish with better records than the Central winner. But you were saying the Braves would easily run away with the division, when there really isn't any evidence to back this up.
