I was all but set to forget my alliance with the Fins if they didnt draft Bryant or trade for Marshall.

I know the debate is gonna soon be who would you rather have had? Marshall for two second round pics or Boldin for a 3rd, 4th, and 5th? I already saw an article from Baltimore asking and debating the question.

Way i see it, Marshall is better then any WR we could get in 2nd round. plus there is still that slim chance we trade down in the draft and select Bryant if he isnt picked at 11 by the Broncos. which would give us a dynamic WR crop [i say this chance is about 1% likely but still an option] But in getting Marshall, we know have the option at getting D.Williams, McClain or Berry if he slips. We could still trade back as i said and pick up a 1st and 2nd rd pick in this year for the 12 spot [prob will need to give up a 6rd next year as well or maybe include Ginn] Either way i like the way we are going.

Good football move for Miami. Not only do we improve our receiving corp but we just improved our QB play as well. All of the sudden we went from a mediocre WR group to an elite group IMO.

Marshall - Elite Size, Speed, YAC, size, Deep Threat, Red Zone Threat, did I mention size?
Ginn - Speed
Bess - Quickness from slot, Can get open
Hartline - Solid hands, solid routes, Can get open
Camarillo - Solid hands, solid routes, Can get open
Turner - Size and Red Zone potential

A nice group from top to bottom.

I think they finally realized with all the moves the Jets are making that it would be stupid to just stick with a plan like it's the 1980's.

Though I'm thinking, what's more value:

Marshall for 2 2nd round picks
Holmes for a 5th
?

YESSSSSSSSSS, I feel bad for doubting the holy trinity now. This makes up for it all, I wanted this deal all along.

So happy, this makes our draft decision that much more straight forward too.

Holmes is in the last year of a contract and has not accepted a new contract. Marhsall is a top 5 WR, Holmes is decent but nothing special.

Do you think they draft Dez still to hopefully get a wayne harrison type of WR or they just draft best overall player at the point of pick

I say its about 1% chance they select Bryant at pick 12. If they trade back to like 24, and Bryant is still there i think the pick percentage is more like 30%... However if they move back to 24 via trade with Eagles, I'd expect them to get pick # 37 with 24 [obviously giving up a pick or Ginn] If that happens I'd expect them to target Golden Tate, and take best available player with 24

I think we go defense with our pick now. I'm hoping for Joe Haden at this point or McClain if we can use him.

For those who say, Marshall is a head-case(Yes he still has some growing to do) and should have been happy in Denver, just remember that After back to back 100 catch seasons, he was still the 7th highest paid WR on his TEAM in '08.

Stokley $6M, Royal $2.5M, Nate Jackson $2M, Darrell Jackson $2M, Clifford Russell $605K, Edell Shephard $526K, Marshall $448K

^ theres a big difference bertween asking/ posturing for more money and doing what he did...

honestly, hes a terrible person and is always a risk of hurting the team with his bs..

that said you gotta take the risk
