From the Palm Beach Post:

Let Butch Reynolds, the world-record holder in the 400-meter dash from 1988 to 1999, give an idea of Ginn's running ability.

A two-time Olympic medalist in 1988 and current Buckeyes speed coach, Reynolds said Ginn would have made one of the U.S. relay teams in 2004.

With training, Reynolds said this week, Ginn, ranked No. 1 in the nation in the 110-meter hurdles his final two years in high school, could run the 400 in the 44-second range.

Okay, I know Ginn's speed has been well documented ad naseum by the media since draft day, but it doesn't matter, I'm still awe-struck by it. He's olympic fast...that's like superhuman. It seems like he's gonna be one of those special athletes that are just so impossibly fast that people are gonna stop referring to him as "Ted", and will just replace his name with a simile for speed. Like Dwyane Flash Wade, or Speedy Claxton, or Rocket Ismail, or Missle Ismail.

Yeah, because one injury in his entire career warrants that kind of stupidity

I'm upbeat about Ginn also. Lets not go giving him any wack nicknames just yet though. Flash Wade is wack enough.
I'm sure Chris Berman can get creative with the name "Ted Ginn" anyway. I can't wait.

As a Buckeye fan, here's one of my my favorite highlight vids of Ginn. "Going, Going, Ginn". To the house for 6, you guys will love him eventually if don't already.

No kidding. I saw him a fair amount, being a Big10 person, but damn. Each time I see him more I like him that much more.

Chris Chambers is pretty damn fast too, similar long strides...but Ginn is like Chris Chambers with a twin turbo. :P

Ay guys, just wanted to add some things here. OSU has had some guys that are off the charts with straight line speed like Galloway and Glenn. Ginn though, has olympic speed IN the pads. His vision and explosion when he wants to put the "jets on" are out of this world. Most explosive player to ever play at OSU in my opinion. The hardest thing with Ginn is finding out his role. In high school, Ginn was rated the number 1 Cornerback in the country. On that same team on the offense he was the Quarterback. Only reason we switched him to reciever is our offense was so terrible and the defense in that year(2005) was one of if not the best in the country. I'm sure you could work some type of reverse to him. Then later on, work a reverse where he becomes the QB when the defense commits to him. Also, if given the practice time you could work him on the defense to cover a slot guy thats giving you problems. I know some Phins fans are Canes fans and they probably think Ginn is no Hester at returns. I strongly disagree and its tough to throw your first round pick in that position. However, if you take away the return part of Ginns game you're hurting your investment. I don't know how good your special teams are, cause I'm a Browns fan, but it just became a threat. Plain and simply, you got the best pure athlete in the draft. Its up to you now to maximize what you have on the field. You can line him up at CB, in the backfield, Outside WR, in the slot WR, PR and KR. Best of luck to him and the Phins.

I don't know about on defense but I almost expect him to be handling the KR, and punt returns.

Line that speedster at wide receiver. That kid can stretch the field. I feel good about this guy. Our third down package is dangerous with Chambers, Ginn, and Booker. Our QBs have to improve at throwing the long ball.

Go fins!!!
