Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, the former Hurricane and current pro wrestler and movie star, invited the six Samoans on the Dolphins to his grandmother's 80th birthday party Sunday, the team's day off.

Johnson, who lives in Davie, began his wrestling career as Rocky Maivia to honor his father and Samoan grandfather.

"He gave us pointers on being football players and talked about what he is doing now," center Samson Satele said. "He talked a lot about the struggles you go through being away from your family. ... It was neat that he took time with us."
