Ricky Williams set to apply for reinstatement

I wonder if we take him back -- he can't have any trade value, so in my mind he's worth more to us than he is to anyone else. He clearly was better than Ronnie, he makes next to nothing salary wise.

Oof. This is a tough one. The team captains should have some input into what will be done with Ricky; I'd hate to see worlds collide if he's brought back and Taylor, Thomas, and other vets were against his comeback. It's all about winning, so if he comes back and wears a Dolphins jersey, I'll support.

I bet his teammates would be more welcoming than the fans

He can't ever be trusted or counted on for anything, but I really do love Ricky Williams. One of the most unique and fascinating athletes to ever pass through South Florida.

agreed, his talent level is (was?) just on a different plane than anyone we have seen come through here. Kind of like when Dwyane first came here, you knew Caron was good but Wade had an x factor that was noticable when watching him even early in his career that showed he was a notch or two or four above talent wise.

Ricky is like 31 now, but he hasn't had his body beaten up through the years.

Ricky rejoining the squad could be a nice moment [for me] in what is otherwise shaping up to be a dismal season.

'course, something tells me that if you had to find the least influential player on any team, it would probably be the kicker. Especially one who's new to the team.

Heh, ironically enough, I'd wager Feely holds more clout in our locker room than almost any other kicker does in their respective locker room. After all, he is our NFLPA representative. And he's also a team captain.

We're about to get back a running back who put up Hall of Fame numbers a few years ago, but instead we're talking about some idiot kicker who got liquored up and ran his mouth off.
