With the first pick in the 2008 draft....

The Miami Dolphins select...

Darren McFadden.

Would solidfy our backfield for many years to come. Ronnie Brown will never become the player that we all hoped that he would be, he can't be the feature back. He could flourish like LT under Cameron.

Wouldn't mind seeing the Dolphins trade down to aquire multiple first round picks to try to get some O-Line help, or any other position that the Fins need help at, pretty much everywhere.

Too bad we just didn't draft Quinn..... Damn you Ted Ginn.

Yeah cause Quinn is lighting the league on fire.

I'd also be happy with a trade-down. I'm more worried about getting talent along the o-line, d-line, and linebackers than anything else.

like it's Ginn's fault

if you MUST curse someone let it be the front office, not the player.

we aren't taking a QB #1 after last draft, I don't care if its Johnny Marino-Elway-Montana coming out

jake long is a monster too, by the way, so we would probably have to end up 3/4 at this point it seems to get one.

mcfadden/brohm going 1/2

Regardless of this weekend, this season is about one thing... solidifying the O-line to allow Beck to step in. To that end, I think we should see what the Bears will offer for Trent Green. The Bears have to make a Super Bowl run again and wil Rexy demoted, and we all know Brian's limitations, seeing if they'll bite on a steady vet before the deadline for a #3 pick to save their season might be the best thing that could happen for both teams. We can put Cleo in to honor the order while the O line gets more solid (they looked good on Sunday) and then get Beck in for the last 4-6 games. Then we use picks on D line and D Backs.

-Solidify the O-Line, specifically the LT. We have a young OL at the moment, and bringing in a stud LT through the draft can make the entire OL look that much better.

-Work on the DL, specifically the RE across from JT and the DTs. Roth's been a disappointment thus far, and our DTs are not applying enough pressure at the snap of the ball.

-Two more DBs.

Jake Long is the pick!!!!

WE pick Jake long and have our tackles for the future. And the rest of the draft we take D'Fence. Trade Jason taylor for a second round pick! Rodriq Wright lookd good today to me. Yes we gave up alot of yards but of all the d-line he was the one that got behind the o-line. Also the chatman talk was a big cloud of smoke(help motivate Ronnie brown). release the guy and start playing Lorenzo booker!!! WTF are they waiting for to play the rookies!!!

I see us getting a top 2 pick and doing what the Charges did (twice to their benefit), trading down to the top bidder who wants one of the QBs, and get a slew of top picks and maybe some now players as well. Chargers did it with Vick for LT & Brees and with Eli/Rivers scenario.

It's not the pick that concerns me, it's the picker. I am not sure at all where we are as a team. Dave didn't even have it this bad (last season not counted) - I would feel better if we were actually rebuilding, but we are in between. Both harrington and culpepper had god days.

I'm not concerned with Pep or Joey as much as the idea that they thought the D was good and Joey Porter was worth $20M. I am holding judgement on Ginn, and see what happens with him, Beck, and Quinn in the future.

but we are in between.

We're on the lower totem pole of rebuilding. This team went ahead and signed Porter as a stop gap and more of a way to appease the fan base, but this is downright horrid........

We're allowing no name RBs to run at will on us. Who in the world is Justin Vargas?

I was happy for Huggy Bear's son. I remember he was a highly touted HS senior like 10 years ago and then you never heard of him again. At least that's what heard on the street, if you know what I mean. Now loan me $5.

Every time Fargas ran the ball I kept trying to think of how many latino running backs there are in the league. And I couldn't think of any except Fargas. Where is the public outcry?
