John beck?? start or bench???

Post#1 » by GameTime_3 » Thu Oct 4, 2007 2:45 am

Well since it seem that the dolphins season is over lol why dont we start looking ahead. Is john beck the answer? Will we pass up brian brohm because john beck? Wat if beck is not the aswer?? Well i say that we start cleo lemon after next week and then when we return from london that we play beck. The offence has not been as bad as most will say and the o-line has come togather ok. Is carson palmer sat but peyton manning also playd his first year! For instance look at the bills. they are taking a good look at trent edwards now since j.p losmen is down. I for one want this season to be one to evaluate the talent on this team. WE know that rb is not the problem because when the o-line is doing good roonie has been great. We know that david martin is not the aswer at T.E, we also know that mui the fullback has done a good job and im glad we let Corey slehingtor go. I want us to know going forward what we have and wwat we need. Time to tell keith traylor goodbye and let rodriq wright play all the games and start. Last week was the first time the docters cleard him 100 percent so give him acouple of weeks to regain his form. What do we have in our rookie linebackers and will Lorenzo booker ever see the field. Trade Chatman for a 6 round pick to a team that needs a runningback. Also send ricky to someone for a 4 or 5 round pick.

If Cameron decides to not start Trent Green, Cleo Lemon better not be replacing him. I swear to Jebus, if Cameron plays Lemon one down I'm going to write a letter.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

What kinda pisses me off is that from what I've read and heard, Beck doesn't even ever take snaps with the 1st team O in practice. I get wanting to take it slow, but by doing that, its like refusing the possibility that he'll play at all this year.

Which is really freaking annoying.

throw him in the deep end of the pool. Aikman and Manning each won 1 game their rookie years. Trent Edwards, who went after Beck is starting for Buffalo now. Does anyone really think if Joey Harrington had been coddled his first year in Detroit, he'd be a stud right now?

I hope this beck guy is the sh@t, cause if he plays and does not produce, I don't want this board to say a MF thing. If he takes lemons snaps in practise, consider playing, but if he's not, he should sit.

this season is lost, I hope we lose the rest of the games and secure the #1 pick, I could care less about Cleo, he is a free agent and refused to sign a multi year deal this offseason. They spent a #2 on Beck, and if he sucks totally, then they know to add a QB next year.

Umm... Didn't Aikman and Manning win a game or two each in their rookie season, and look like trash?

IDK how much we can gauge in 1 season or not even that from him. :dontknow:

I'd be fine with Lemon getting 60-70% of the snaps with the 1st team the next couple weeks, let Beck get 30-40% of the snaps, then give him the majority of the snaps over the bye week and after, 2 weeks to prepare for his first start.

I could live with that.

Wasn't it Marino who got his 1st start after the Bye Week, and against the Buffalo Bills?

When Marino was a rookie, bye weeks didn't exist.

let Cleo have these next few weeks, if he does well, keep him, if not, let Beck come in after the London game.

also, that article about Travis Johnson aplogizing to Trent Green is misleading

he apologizes about getting the penalty and hurting his team, not for taunting a lifeless player or for still spewing it after the game when he watched them cart Green off

Green suffered a Grade 3 concussion - the most severe form - and is out for game vs. Browns.

Symptoms of a Grade 3 concussion include loss of consciousness and no memory of the blow that caused it.

A Grade 2 concussion does not involve loss of consciousness.

A Grade 1 concussion is the most mild form, leaving the sufferer merely dazed.

he should seriously retire
what does he need it for? he's made his millions, the team is going nowhere. I hope they put him on IR and sign a 3rd QB.

Put Beck in there, so if he doesn't look like the future for the team, they can draft Brohm or Ryan from BC.
