I want to start following the NFL. I'm thinking about following the Dolphins as they're close to where I was born, and right now they're looking pretty crap.
Can someone give me an NFL 101?
The good players, the positions and plays? (I tried playing Madden but I can't figure a thing out.)

Sorry to laugh but it sounds as if you are shopping around for a team.
The good thing about following the Dolphins now is that you'll get to love the team at it's worst and when/if we become a championship team in the near future, it will be that much satisfying. Trust me, I followed the Miami Heat since the franchise's first year and winning that championship felt like a great repayment for all the suffering in the 90's.
I'll leave the NFL 101 lessons to professor Mopper.
