I want to thank all of them for their contributions to the Dolphins and wish them good luck."

Other players cut by the Dolphins were tackle L.J. Shelton, defensive tackle Keith Traylor, tackle Anthony Alabi, defensive tackle Anthony Bryant, tackle Marion Dukes, defensive tackle Marquay Love and tackle Joe Toledo.

Wow LJ Shelton?? Anthoney alabi and joe toledo??? i though those guys had some promise?

It has begun!
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Booker and Green indeed went too.

Unrelated, except it proves how big a misinformation tool Chris Mortensen has become:
The Panthers cut Dan Morgan

Just yesterday on ESPN radio Mort said there was "no way" the Dolphins were going to part with Green, and that the Panthers were "almost certain to keep Morgan" but ask him to renegotiate. Way to swing and miss Mort! I could have told you last week Green and Traylor were out the door...

The only guy that surprised me was Alabi, because I think he's got some potential and he's very cap-friendly. The Shelton move had to be done so Tuna can bring in Flozell Adams, which is the least-kept FA secret ever.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Good.

New management isn't wasting time with old, tired, oft-injured, lazy, untalented players. No more tolerance of middling mediocrity. If you can't catch (Booker), can't block (Shelton), can't stay healthy (Toledo), can't flat out play at all (Alabi, Johnson, Dukes, Love), or are just plain too old (Traylor, Green), you're gone. Parcells and Ireland are getting right down to the root of the problem by dumping players who serve no purpose to this team. It's about time. I can definitely appreciate that kind of honest decisiveness, that kind of cold practicality.
