Armando the Towel Boy's theory

Post#1 » by G.cracker » Mon Apr 21, 2008 12:36 am

Salguero on his show this AM pontificated about how with McNair retiring, the Ravens may make a play on #1 to take Matt Ryan before Atlanta does at #3. His suggestion was their #8 and #38 for #1.

If offered, I take that. Sure this isn't as good as San Diego did with Atlanta for Vick or NY with Manning, but with no standout #1 and lots of holes to fill, how could we not? We can still get a good player at 8.

Armando said St. Louis isn't dealing and everyone knows we are if offered.

Thoughts?

That is way too far to drop for only the #38 pick. You need to add a future 2nd and/or a 3rd rounder this year, IMO.

I'd consider it, at 8 they can get maybe still get Gholston, LB Keith Rivers, or one of the o-linemen like Otah, Clady, or Albert.

Only thing is, Baltimore had to know McNair's number was up or close to it, not sure how drastically their plans changed
