OSU Coach:"Gholston Pawned Jake Long"

As Ohio State coach Jim Tressel watched the NFL draft and the accompanying video of Vernon Gholston Saturday afternoon, he was a little bothered.

"You know, in all the highlights on Saturday, I never saw any of those plays where he carried Jake Long into the quarterback's lap," Tressel said in a telephone interview yesterday from Columbus.

Although I don't remember it like that, Ohio State's coach Jim Tressel says that Gholston (NY Jets 1st round pick) dominated Jake Long (Dolphins new LT). Then again I really don't watch the every move a lineman makes during a game.

I do know that the only sack Long allowed last season was to Gholston. I really hope Tressel is just pulling for his guy and that we don't have to put up with years of NY Jets fans throwing in or face how much Gholston owns Jake Long.

Anyone can vouch for this story?

As long as the Dolphins beat the Jets, I don't care if Gholston has three sacks on Long. And we got Long more for his run blocking, so I'm going to predict right now that Ronnie Brown breaks Peterson's rushing record this season.

What else is Golstons coach going to say? Jake long is a beast and if Golston drives long to the QB but the Qb throws a TD then its a good play for the dolphins. Jake Long will be 335 within 2 years, lets talk then.
