Dolphins announced they have terminated the contract of Defensive Coordinator Paul Pasqualoni.
http://twitter.com/Adam_Schefterand my faith in the Dolphins is restored. Our D was so unprepared it wasn't even funny and on that note lets get a few new starting LBs as well.

Former Denver Broncos DC and SF 49ers Head Coach, Mike Nolan is about to sign with Miami to be our new Defensive Coordinator.
LINKYHe was the Ravens DC in the early 2000's when Ed Reed and Ray Lewis were dominating the league. He was also the Jets DC when Parcells was the GM. He runs the 3-4 with a serious dose of blitzes and coverages. Our defense will attack, attack and attack instead of the more passive approach PP had the last couple of seasons.
Good signing IMO.

GREAT signing. Now, while his LBs and DBs played well, his front line was pretty bad. Let's see what he does with us, but this is a much better signing than all those people who spurned us.

Aside from NT if Ferg doesn't come back, I like our Defensive Line. Langford, Starks, Merling form a nice rotation at end and Solial, while not a starter caliber, can get us 15-20 solid snaps a game. We need a young NT prospect this year though. As for LB, we definetely need some upgrades at ILB and OLB. Our Cornerbacks are solid and a "TRUE" Free Safety needs to be added (please get rid of G. WIlson!)
Nolan is going to have his hands full getting this defense to click right away.

Really great signing, IMO. If anyone is going to help this defense become dominant like it was in the early 2000's, I think it is Nolan.
