1-2 is not that bad. we played 3 very good teams, our 2 losses to teams with great records last year, and both were winnable, definetely the colts game. we're better than our record suggests. This is how i see our team.
Offense:
QB - i think it's more poor play calling than poor play. i can predict the plays for the vikings like for no other team. it's really bad. on sure thing: tjack is done. imo, he should have gotten another chance, as he played 2 of the quickest defenses and lost, but now it over. gus is not the answer long term, but he's a good enough game manager.
O-Line - the o-line impressed me against quick and good defensive lines. the right side is getting better every game and hicks is playing better than mckinnie. we'll be fine here
TE - when v-shanc is not touched, he can catch. otherwise he'll drop. also, his blocking is redicoulus for a guy his size and he runs the routes very strange. bring in mills. he catched everything sure-handed. guy can block.
RB - what can i say. I never saw any RB run as hard as AD...except maybe Walter Peyton. The hit on Al harris was funny. He gets 2-3 yards after contact, no matter how many contact him. awesome. taylor is very solid and is a power runner as well.
WR - they suck. really, they suck. strange routes, bad hands. they don't fight for balls and drop. allison is the only sure handed reciever, and rice didn't see enough action, and if, he is constantly overthrown to the sidelines. berrian is solid, but should have catched some more catchable balls, something you'd expect out of a #1 reciever. We need good WR's more than a quarterback, yes, i'm that crazy.
Defense:
D-Line: stellar. they get constant pressure on the QB, can't be run at them trhough the middle and are maybe the fastest side-to-side line in the league. fast and hard line, very rare combination. and i think they will improve still
LB: E.J. is getting better every year. he plays at pro-bowl level easily and is a sure hitter. greenway is solit, as is leber. their coverage decisions are strange sometimes. i really think leber should take over the lead for the defense and let e.j. concentrate on the game. some coordination is missing here. of course, e.j. should stay in the middle
DB: winfield is great, as always, other than that, we have lots of room for improvement. griffin is making the same errors he made as a rookie...never see any improvement in him and ty-jo is a rookie, with some positioning errors, i also was surprised by his weak tackling...something i thought was his strength. still, for a rookie, is solid. sharper has lost a step and i hope madieu can return soon. what happened to mccauley? i hoped he could take over for griffin, but it seems both sapp and gordon have overtaken him in the depth chart.
overall: i'm ok with the start of the season, but i'm aware that we still have the same problems as the last 2 years: bad, real bad, offensive play calling. REALLY BAD. we won't get far if that doesnt change.

Re: The first 3 games
with the way the colts played this week i'm seriously wondering if they are any good or not
EJ is an absolute stud this year, amazing, d-line is great, the defense as a whole is just going to keep us in every game and give the offense a great chance to win every game
we'll have to see if the qb troubles have been sorted out with the change, i think it might have been, more veteran presence, better decisions more open playbook
